truly seen in the participants of the fashion show. The
Extempore competition was conducted by the college on
17th November 2018. Some of the topics put up for the
extempore were - "if money is lost, everything is lost and if
the character is lost, nothing is lost" and "social media
makes us unsocial". The participants had put forth various

speaker award” in the extempore. The fest successfully
ended with the prize distribution ceremony along with a

the next edition of the meet.
On 11th November 2018, Army Institute of Management, Kolkata organized a session
with Meghna Laha and Harsh Poddar to mark National Education Day and Birth
Anniversary of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad. Meghna Laha made the Students aware of
the world’s first open platform that provides direct access to foreign colleges through
“UNIV TRAC”, an online portal. Education is something which should be open to all
irrespective of backgrounds. She made the students aware of the gap existing in the
society such as distortion in the market, expensive information and many more. This
session was followed by Harsh Poddar's interactive session on how solving local
problems can lead towards Entrepreneurship. The session was overall interactive and
shared a new chain of thought with the students that resource is never a constraint and
making money is not a solution, knowing the problem better and getting innovative
ideas will make a person stand out in the crowd.

As we all know that children are the bright future of the country, they should be treated and appreciated with lots of love and affection. Children's Day is celebrated on the 14th of November
in India as a tribute to Jawaharlal Nehru, who was born on November 14, 1889. He was the first Prime Minister of India and was fondly called Chacha Nehru or simply Chachaji, and was known for his love for children. He loved them a lot and always kept them near to his heart.
On 14th November 2018, Army Institute of Management, Kolkata celebrated Children’s day with the students of ASHA school. The students of Army Institute of Management, Kolkata presented a colourful theme-oriented programme for the children, it included singing, dancing,
and storytelling, later on, the children were pampered with goodies.
Children are loved by one and all. They win over our hearts with their angelic eyes and innocent smiles.
