• HISTORY
• APPLICATIONS OF AI• ROBOTICS• IN SPACE RESEARCH ORGANISATIONS
• FUTURE OF AI
Pamela McCorduck
What is Artificial Intelligence ???
The theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks normally requiring human intelligence .
such as
Visual perception
Speech recognition
Robotics
History of Artificial Intelligence
The history of artificial intelligence (AI) began in antiquity, with myths, stories and rumors of artificial beings endowed with intelligence by master craftsmen; as Pamela McCorduck writes
Later at 1st century Heron of Alexandria created mechanical men and other automatons
Due to several reasons the development of AI is like uneven .Later The word robot was introduced to the public by Czech writer Karel Capek, in his play R.U.R. published in 1920. The play begins in a factory that makes artificial people called robots.

The word "robotics", used to describe this field of study, was coined accidentally by the Russian –born , American scientist and science fiction writer, Isaac Asimov(1920-1992) in 1940s.

History of Artificial Intelligence
McCarthy was one of the founders of the discipline of artificial intelligence. He is also called as “ FATHER OF AI ”
The re-birth of artificial intelligence 1952–1956
In the 1940s and 50s, a handful of scientists from a variety of fields (mathematics, psychology, engineering, economics and political science) began to discuss the possibility of creating an artificial brain. The field of artificial intelligence research was founded as an academic discipline in 1956. John McCarthy
The IBM 702: A computer used by the first generation of AI researchers
The first digital and programmable robot was invented by George Devol in 1954 and was named the Unimate.
Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Daily Life
Virtual Personal Assistants
Video Games
Smart Cars
Purchase Prediction

AI in Robotics
This Robot Can Fly a Plane All By Itself ???
PIBOT
PIBOT is designed to fly existing planes without any modifications, and could be used in areas that are too dangerous for human pilots.
The live best example is Bermuda Triangle
Robotics
If the Robot operates the aeroplane in which human beings are in that aeroplane ?
Solution at the time of crashing takes place ( to save passengers ) :
Aeroplane cabin Cabin attached to front part If crash happens
Emergency landing on land
Emergency landing on water
NAVIC

Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (NAVIC)
The Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) with an operational name of NAVIC which means Sailor or Navigator in Sanskrit .
It is an autonomous regional satellite navigation system that is being set up by India . Region extending to 1,500 kilometers around India.
The system was developed because access to foreign government-controlled global navigation satellite systems is not guaranteed in hostile situations, as happened to the Indian military in 1999 when it was dependent on the American Global Positioning System (GPS) during the Kargil War.
The Indian government approved the project in May 2006, with the intention of the system being completed and implemented by 28 April 2016.
Now India is part of a elite club of 5 members who has their own Navigational system
America - GPS
Russia - GLONASS
China - BeiDou (BDS)
European - Galileo
India – Navic (IRNSS).
