ARCO IRIS CARE WEEK February 10th - 14th

Care CARDS During care week we will be

making Valentine cards for sick kids at the Doernbecher

Children’s Hospital, to cheer them up and show them some love on Valentines day. The cards will be delivered Thursday and put on display that night, to surprise the kids Valentine’s morning.

ACTS OF KINDNESS During Care Week each student will receive a checklist of kind acts they can complete. We want to spread kindness and happiness around our school! Those students who complete their checklist will have their name put up on display.

RESPECT PLEDGE The Portland Trail Blazers have a program called the Respect Pledge.

They think that to make our world better we have to respect each other. For the the Blazers and the Arco Iris students respect is very important. We care for for others when we respect ourselves and each other.

CANDY GRAMS Valentine’s Day is all about love and friendship, so during the week the student council will be selling candy grams. Candy Grams are little pieces of candy attached to a small note that you can write or decorate for anyone in the school. Then, on Friday the 14th, all of the candy grams will be passed out. All of the

money raised will be used to begin our Pennies for Patients drive. This fundraiser supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma society.

Candy grams cost 25 cents each.
