ARACHNIDS AND MYRIAPODS

ARACHNIDS

The Arachnids are a class of arthropods Chelicerata of which have been described more than 102 000 species. It includes forms as well known as spiders, ticks and other mites, or Scorpions.

ARACHNIDS
REPRODUCTION

Arachnids may have one or two gonads, which are located in the abdomen. The genital opening is usually located on the underside of the second abdominal segment. In most species, the male transfers sperm to the female in a package, or spermatophore. Complex courtship rituals have evolved in many arachnids to ensure the safe delivery of the sperm to the female.

CURIOSITIES
OF
ARACHNIDS

Them Arachnids have 3 types of appendices: 4 pairs (usually) of legs treadmills, 1 pair called ' pedipalps ' (appendices more or less long near the mouth with different functions; in Scorpions form them clips), and another pair called ' chelicerae ' (them ' fangs ' with which the spiders injected poison). Spiders have one group of tiny appendages at the rear of the body called 'espineretas' which used to produce silk and weave webs with it.

WHERE DO ARACHNIDS LIVE?

The arachnids live in any place:

In trees,In houses,Under rocks,In caves and even over the water, in the mountains, the polar regions and in the rainforests and jungles.

PARTS OF ARACHNIDS
AND MYRIAPODS

Arachnis have 8 legs.

Myriapods depends on the species.

WHAT DO ARACHINDS EAT?

All archinids are carnivorouseat a variety of insects and other spiders. Large spiders eat small vertebrate like mice and small birds.

MYRIAPODS

Myriapoda is a subphylum of arthropods containing millipedes, centipedes, and others. The group contains over 13,000 species, most of which are terrestrial.[2] Although their name suggests they have myriad (10,000) legs, myriapods range from having over 750 legs (the millipede Illacme plenipes)[3] to having fewer than ten legs.

MYRIAPODS
REPRODUCTION

The sperm of the male is deposited inside the body of the female to fertilize her eggs.

Depending on the species, they can take up to two days.

WHERE DO MYRIAPODS
LIVE?

Myriapods live in any place:In forest,in mountains and deserts biomes. Most Myriapods need moist place to survive

WHAT DO MYRIAPODA EAT?

The myriapods are mostly carnivorous wich is reflected in their fearsome app erance while millipedes mostly consume dritius
