Definitions – ISO 17000:2004 - Vocabulary

Conformity Assessment Demonstration that specified requirements related to a product,

Third party attestation related to a conformity assessment body conveying formal demonstration of its competence to carry out specific conformity assessment tasks

ANSI is a third party accreditor that meets ISO/IEC 17011 – General Requirements for accreditation bodies accrediting conformity assessment bodies
