To stage an inspirational Olympic and Paralympic Games for the athletes, the

Be clear about the sports needs – venues, facilities, sizes, capacities, layout

Needs will change over time – clear change management

Manage the stakeholders from day 1. Who is influential? Who can have influence?

Be realistic about what newly-formed bodies can achieve

Be very clear about milestones and deadlines

Understand what bodies like the IF’s, NOC’s and of course the IOC want / need

Put proven world-class systems in place quickly. Don’t reinvent the wheel !!!
