Have you ever wanted a reliable business – perhaps a plumber, builder or electrician – and not known where to go? Most directories list names and telephone numbers, but give little help if you want to find someone you can trust.
This directory is different. All the businesses here are members of Buy with Confidence. This means they have been visited and assessed by an officer from Bath & North East Somerset Trading Standards who has made sure they match up to the scheme’s standards. We believe our members put the customer first, and we are proud to approve them.
Of course we cannot guarantee these businesses will never let you down, but we believe if something does go wrong your problems will be dealt with fairly and promptly. We also cannot guarantee the financial stability of a member. Need a Carer or someone to provide caring services ? Not sure where to turn?
At BANES we understand that looking for a care provider you can trust to look after loved ones can be a daunting experience. We know that you worry about whether you know you can trust them, if they are honest or if they will treat your loved one properly.
To help with this we wil be teaming up with our colleagues who work in Adult Social Care over the next few months to extend the Buy With Confidence approved trader scheme to cover businesses that provide care services. This will be called Buy With Confidence + Care.
The aim is to provide a register of businesses that have been thoroughly vetted and approved by both services and that can be safely used to look after you and your loved ones.
Initially all care providers currently contracted by the Council to provide services to elderly and vulnerable residents will be assessed, followed by other similar providers offering services to residents within BANES.
Next other businesses who provide non-caring services to the vulnerable, sick or elderly that allow them to remain independently living in their own homes such as personal shoppers, dog walkers, meals, gardeners will be enlisted onto the scheme.
Once businesses are vetted they can be found on the Buy With Confidence website which has a Buy With Confidence + Care section.
