Biology : (To be done by practical group I only )Make a project file.

1. Collect different types of seeds and put them in small bags. Identify them. Write their names and attach these bags in project file.

2. Collect new agricultural machines pictures. Paste them in the project file. Write their names and uses.

3. Collect the labels from the bottles of Jams, Squash , Murabba, Pickles and Jellies. Write down the list of contents printed on the labels. Try to identify the preservative added in them.

Chemistry : (To be done by practical group II only )1. Make any object ( Folder, bag, Hanging or any decorative piece ) using eco – friendly

materials.2. Make a chart on “ Plastics : boon or curse “ or Even and Odd : Solution for Pollution” 3. Visit you kitchen. Make a list of the objects , which are made up of the plastics. Also write

the type of plastics used.4. Paste the sample of cloth made up of different types of fibres in your project file.

Physics : (To be done by practical group III only )1. Test the conduction of electricity through various fruits and vegetables. Display your result

in a tabular form.2. Imagine that friction suddenly vanishes. How would life be affected ? List ten such

situations.3. Visit a shop which sells sports shoes . Observe the soles of shoes meant for various

sports.Describe your observations. Collect pictures also.

16. Present age of Sonu’s mother is six times Sonu’s age. Five years hence , her age will be 20 years more than that of Sonu’s age .Find their present ages.

17. A number is divided into two parts such that one part is 10 more than the other .If the two parts are in the ratio 5:3, find the number and the two parts.

18. Length of a rectangle exceeds its breadth by 3m. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 90m, find the length and breadth of the rectangle.

19. The price of 2 tables and 3 chairs is Rs. 340. If a table costs Rs. 20 more than a chair , find the cost of each.

20. Find a number which when multiplied by 8 and then reduced by 11 is equal to 53.

21. Three prizes are to be distributed in a quiz contest . The value of the second prize is five-sixth of the value of the first prize and the value of the third prize is four-fifths of the second prize. If the total value of three prizes is Rs. 450, find the value of each prize.

22. Divide Rs. 1380 among Ahmed , John and Babita so that the amount Ahmed has is 5 times as much as Babita’s share and is 3 times as much as John’s share.

23. One of the angles of a triangle is equal to the sum of the other two angles. If the ratio of the other two angles is 4:5 , find the angles of the triangle.

24. A field can be ploughed in 14 days. If 20 hectares of land is ploughed more daily, the work will be finished in 10 days. Find the area of the land which can be ploughed daily.

25. The sum of two numbers is 4000. If 15% of one is 25% of the other. Find the numbers.

26. A lady went for shopping and spent half of what she had on buying hankies and gave a rupee to a beggar waiting outside the shop . She spent half of what was left on lunch followed up with a two rupee tip. She spent half of the remaining amount on a book and three rupees on bus fare. When she reached home , she had exactly one rupee left. How much money did she start with.

27. A streamer goes upstream in 10 hours and the same distance downstream in 9 hours. If the speed of the stream is 1 km/hr, find the speed of the streamer in still water and the distance traveled by it.

28. A is now 9 years older than b. In 10 years, A will be twice as old as b was 10 yrs ago. Find their present ages.

29. In a rational number twice the numerator is 2 more than the denominator. If 3 is added to the numerator and denominator, the new fraction is 2/3. Find the original number.

30. Find the number whose fifth part increased by 5 is equal to its fourth part diminished by 5.
