For 32 million seniors with diabetes and prediabetes, Medicare can come up short. It’s time we fixed that.

When many older Americans with diabetes or prediabetes participate in Medicare, they can’t always rely on the same services, supplies, and education they previously had access to for successfully managing their condition.

At the Diabetes Advocacy Alliance (DAA), we’re calling for improved Medicare coverage for the resources and self-management training that seniors with diabetes need. And for seniors with prediabetes, we’re advocating for Medicare coverage of diabetes prevention programs and other education that have proven effective.
