Status of Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Programme in Karnatakag

Board has started monitoring of ambient air quality during1983 and the number of stations were gradually increasedover the yearsover the years.

The numbers of stations in 1983, with 2 stations and,gradually increased , presently 36 stations are beingmonitored for Air Quality covering all major cities ( 31 arein NAMP and 5 are in Board programme ).p g )

17 cities are covered under Ambient Air Quality MonitoringP i K t kProgramme in Karnataka.
