Programme Highlights
: Managing construction claims and disputes is often a frustrating exercise. It is
time-consuming and costly, and the outcome is not always the best one would
hope for. You soon find out you cannot really sub-contract or delegate
everything to your lawyers or experts, as they keep coming back to you with more
questions or requests. In this CPD, Rachel will look into some common
difficulties and discuss how a construction manager and his team may use and
rationalize the dispute resolution process to minimize the risks and frustrations
for all that are involved. In particular, Rachel will talk about practical tips and
measures which could be adopted during the contract stage prior to the formal
disputes arising that could save time and money, and ultimately enhance the
prospects of a successful claim or defence, or a timely settlement.
