There are several ways that you can support the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts through:

The Annual FundAnnual gifts provide the resources for outreach programs, operational needs and exhibition programming. Outreach programming include art therapy programs for families in crisis; art for senior citizens in nursing homes and community centers; art workshops in the local rural schools; and art programming for residents in transitional housing / shelters.

Each year the Turchin Center hosts about 25 international and national exhibitions. Annual gifts allow us to present a challenging and exciting roster of artists whose work provides a diverse look at the visual arts and invites visitors to expand their perspectives through creative and critical thinking. Our annual giving cycle begins on July 1st and ends on June 30th; although gifts are graciously accepted at any time during the year.

Naming Opportunities Name a gallery, room or wing of the Turchin Center in memory of, or in honor of a family member or friend. These resources support the center’s current operational needs and capital improvements. For a complete listing of naming opportunities contact us at 828.262.3017 or visit our website at http://tcva.org/support.

The EndowmentAt its best, art can be transformative for entire communities. An endowment ensures that the Turchin Center continues to be an engaging and accessible resource, responding to diverse educational, cultural and health needs. We do this by meeting participants wherever they are in their personal relationship with the visual arts and provide participants with opportunities to access the power of the arts to help learn, grow and heal.

Gift Planning Existing assets including real estate, gifts of stock or an individual retirement account (IRA) or life insurance policy are wonderful ways to leave a legacy in the arts.

Interested in a life income stream with tax benefits? Please contact us to discuss our gift planning options. Every gift will help us to continue to support the community through outreach programs, enhance our permanent collection and build a reserve for future maintenance needs.

TCVA Donor ProgramThe Turchin Center is the largest facility of its kind in western North Carolina, eastern Tennessee and southwestern Virginia featuring works of nationally and internationally renowned artists, as well as many of the finest artists of the region.

As a university museum that is free and open to the public, state funding provides some operating support, but it is not enough to keep our programming alive.  The Turchin Center relies on the generosity of others who are dedicated to supporting the arts in Boone and beyond.

By becoming a donor, you provide critical funding not only for our exciting exhibits, but for all of our programming and events. You help create opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the power and excitement of the visual arts.

Your support helps make many exciting special events available each year. We hope that, in addition to participating, you will consider making a tax deductible donation to your friends at the Turchin Center.

Together we will keep the arts alive for everyone to enjoy.
