(Joy and Peace)
Every year, the Joy and Peace children will have their vision screened by the Health Promotion Board.
This exercise aims to to prevent and reduce the early onset of myopia.
Prior the vision screening, they were given important tips to take care of their eyes.
The screening process was conducted in a very fun way….
just look at the “special colourful glasses” on the children!

We discussed about the camels and how they adapt to the harsh conditions in the desert.
And we proceeded to making our camels!
Once they have finished colouring the camel template, they tried something new …
They had to clip the wooden pegs onto their camels!

With the stools spread out, a colour is given and the children were to run and touch
the corresponding colour stool as quickly as possible.
This helps to develop their reaction time, listening skills and agility.

The Joy & Peace children did a relay of:
1. Sprinting around a bend
2. Hurdling over blocks
3. High knee drill
Besides executing those skills, passing a baton is one skill to learn too, in a relay!
The children learn to anticipate the passing,
by stretching out their arms to pass and receive the baton 😊

Hahah !!! We attempted during our cooking lesson …
to construct the pyramid with our fruits …grapes, apples and honeydew.
Notice the 3-D construction!
It was quite fun and enjoyable for everyone … especially when we “ate our pyramid” with chocolate sauce …
