Announcements & Upcoming Events CSI Weekend – Community Service Invasion! – July 07- 09 IT IS TIME TO CHOOSE YOUR TEAM! Each year TVCOG sets aside a special weekend to invade the community with various projects to show the love of Christ. See the enclosed brochure detailing all the events and where you can participate. We want 100% participation by either serving at an event or donating needed items, or both! Choose the event(s) that you and your family wish to serve in and mark your blue card today. Team “Family Haircuts” – We need 2 more stylists. See Pastor Brenda. Team “Masterpiece Movies” – We need “pals” for our special needs guests. See Pastor Mandy. Team “Kidz Kraze” – We need volunteers to run kids’ games. Job Opening for After-School Staff Position We are seeking an After-School worker for our After-School Program this fall. This person must be a committed servant and follower of Jesus Christ, enjoy working with school age children and be an active member of their church. Club 23 / Young Adult Group – “Killin’ It” All young adults are encouraged to join us every Sunday morning at 9:30am in the church office “family room” as we work through Andy Stanley’s series, “Killin’ It,” that focuses on pride and how it can destroy relationships and our walk with God. Join us as we learn how to kill the pride in our life.

Tyler McGough Made the Top Ten & Performs TONIGHT! 6/25 Tyler McGough competed with contestants from all over the state of WV in The 94.5FM New Life Power Factor Singing Contest and has made it into the TOP TEN! He will be performing TONIGHT at Southridge Church of God for an opportunity to open for the West Virginia Power Faith and Family Night at the Appalachian Power Park on July 14th! Come support Tyler and be a part of the voting process! Doors open at 5:30PM and the contest begins at 6PM. American Nija Warrior – 06/26 Be sure to watch on Monday, June 26th as our very own Collin Meadows’ episode airs. We will be gathering for devotions and various social events this summer so bring a friend and join us! We will be meeting at Joy Holbrook’s home on July 10th at 6:30pm. Mom’s Fat Patty’s Lunch – 07/11 Join us for lunch at Fat Patty’s for any mom with kids still at home that can come socialize and have lunch together. We meet at 11:30AM. Due to the July 4th holiday, we will meet on the 11th this month. CWC Tupperware Party – 07/11 This month the Christian Women’s Connection will be meeting on July 11th from 6pm-8pm in the Fellowship Hall hosting a Tupperware Party to benefit missionaries! The Church of God has a “Linen Chest” where missionaries can gather items they need for their family. Tupperware cereal bowls and tumblers are among some of the items they need. All are welcome to attend and you may buy items for the missionaries as well as items for yourself! Bring your friends and neighbors. Refreshments will be provided. Young at Heart – 07/17 Those 55 and over are invited to join us on the 3rd Monday of each month at 12PM in the Student Center for a carry-in lunch. Bring a generous dish to share and enjoy a time of fellowship. Our next gathering will be July 17th. Foster Parent Informational Meeting – 07/17 If you have ever considered changing the life of a child forever by being a foster parent then you will want to come to this informational meeting and learn more about it. This meeting will be presented by Necco. Manly Meal – 07/18 All men are invited for a fellowship lunch at Fireside Grill in Teays Valley at 12PM on Tuesday, July 18th. This men’s group meets for a monthly lunch and time of fellowship at various restaurants from Charleston to Barboursville.

New Series – “Winning Your Battle” We are in a series on Wednesdays called " Winning Your Battle" which is based off the book "Goliath Must Fall" by Louie Giglio. Meal at 5:45PM followed by our worship time beginning at 6:45PM in The Student Center. State Youth Camp – 07/16-07/21 It's not too late to sign up for camp! Registration forms are at the youth booth. Don’t miss this life-changing experience! Mission Trip We are asking all prayer partners to write a letter or letters of encouragement to your student. Please have all letters to Pastor Jed by June 27th. Is your Son or Daughter moving up to the student ministry this fall? If so please take one of our forms from the youth desk to fill out with your teen. It gives us a head start on getting to know the student and their parents before they head over to the student ministry in August. We are planning an event for all incoming students and parents. Details will be released shortly. Life Group Leaders Needed If you feel led to serve in our student ministry as a Life Group leader please contact Pastor Jed. With our student ministry growing we are in need of more adult leaders that will help serve and support our students.

4th & 5th Graders DU (Destination Unknown) – 06/26 Calling all 4th & 5th graders! We are having a Destination Unknown on Monday, June 26th from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM. All you need to bring is $20 and a release form, which can be found at Cruise Control. We will meet at the church. For details please contact Pastor Megan at megan@tvcog.org. Take Me to the Movies – 06/28 On Wednesday, June 28th join Pastor Megan for a FREE movie at the Frank’s Theater in Scott Depot at 10:00AM. We will be watching Sing! All children that are 2nd grade and below will need to have a parent or guardian present. Come join us for a morning of FUN! Mark your blue card! For more information please email Pastor Megan at megan@tvcog.org. Camp Sonshine: Gadgets and Gizmos! – 7/12-7/15 This year’s theme is Gadgets and Gizmos! Your child will discover how they are MADE by God, MADE for relationship with Jesus and MADE to love others! Camp dates are July 12-15 for grades 3rd-6th grade. The cost is $100 per camper. Registration forms are available at Cruise Control! All forms must be completed and returned to Pastor Megan by June 18th. See Pastor Megan regarding the partial and full scholarships that are available. Color Wars: Calling all K-5th Graders! We are having our Annual Color Wars Competition on Wednesdays during the months of June and July! These nights feature crazy game challenges, memory verse competitions, and even a food drive! The team scoring the most points by the end of July will have the honor of shaving Mr. Devin’s head! Stay tuned for more details! Come join the fun!
