Android Auto™ makes it possible to conveniently use Android™ devices in the car. It seamlessly connects with compatible Lexus vehicles via a supported USB cable to cast your device’s interface onto the vehicle’s multimedia display, allowing you to get directions, make calls, send and receive message, and even use Google Assistant.

Download the Android Auto app from the Google Play Store

When prompted by the Lexus Multimedia System, select ‘On’ to enable Android Auto. If this option is not displayed on the Lexus Multimedia System, go to ‘Menu > Setup > General > Projection Settings,’ and toggle the Android Auto setting to ON.

Connect the Android device to the vehicle using a supported USB cable

Unlock your device and follow the on-screen prompts to setup the Android Auto app.

Launch Android Auto by selecting ‘Menu’ on your vehicle’s Remote Touch Interface, then select Android Auto. If the icon reads ‘Projection,’ ensure your phone is connected to your vehicle’s USB media port with a compatible USB cable.

Android Auto will now appear on the Lexus Multimedia System.

Android Auto gives you hands-free access to Google Assistant, Android’s personal assistant. You can create reminders, set appointments, and ask for information, all at the press of a button.:1. Connect your phone and launch Android Auto2. Press and hold the Voice Command button on your steering wheel until you hear Google Assistant3. Try any of the following: • “Remind me tomorrow at 5 p.m. to call [Phone Contact Name]” • “Who’s benched on [your favorite baseball team]?” • “Play [artist or song of your choice].” • “Take me to the nearest coffee shop.” • “Text [Phone Contact Name].”

Q: What is the cost of Android Auto?

A: There is no additional cost for Android Auto. It is a standard feature for compatible Lexus vehicles listed above.

Q: Do I need to download each individual app that I want to use with Android Auto?

A: Yes, each individual app must be downloaded from the Google Play Store on your Android device. Compatible apps on your device will automatically show up on the vehicle’s multimedia screen.

Q: How can I find out which apps are available for Android Auto?

A: You can find a full list of all compatible apps for Android Auto by following the below QR code or at www.play.google.com/androidauto

Q: Will Android Auto be made available for in-market vehicles?

A: No, there will not be a retrofit made available for in-market Lexus vehicles. Only vehicles listed above will have Android Auto functionality.
