  • K-W-L Write paragraph about how you learn best. This can be school related, but it can also be about something youve learned outside of school. Ex: science lab, rebuilding an engine, cooking, driving

  • There are three main styles of learning: Visual Auditory Kinesthetic/Tactile

  • Visual Visual Learners learn best when information is presented in writing, pictures. or diagrams. Do you like it when teachers write on the board, give handouts, and use an LCD? Do you try to remember information by creating pictures in your mind? Do you take a lot written notes from your textbooks and in class? If YES, you are probably a Visual Learner.

  • Auditory Auditory Learners learn best when information is presented out loud. Do you seem to learn best in classes where the teacher lectures and there are class discussions? Does listening to CDs help you learn better? Do you find yourself reading aloud or talking things out to gain better understanding? If YES, you are probably an Auditory Learner.

  • Kinesthetic/Tactile Tactile/Kinesthetic Learners learn best in hands-on learning settings Do you learn best when you can move about and handle things? Do you learn better when you have an actual object in your hands rather than a picture of the object or a verbal or written description of it? If YES, you are probably a Tactile/Kinesthetic Learner.
