Analysis of the step father

The movie is introduced by the producing company , the title is red on a black background already creating suspense for the audience.

The first scene sets the location of the movie, the house that is shown is clearly in a typical american suburb community were news papers are brought to each home. The titles are in between the scenes in order to enter the movie immediately.

Suspense is accumulated when the driver passes from the house were the start of the movie is set and he noticed that the delivery has been cancelled. This means that there is something going on because the car is there but nobody wants the daily paper.

The car then goes away leaving us with the house alone. The next scene is of this set of tools that are clearly organized like if someone is preparing to use them . The camera shows them in a really organized way following them throghout the table.

Then we are introduced to the main character . He looks himself at the mirror and he then starts to do a series of actions to try and change his identity .

Next he shaves and when he cuts himself he looks really indifferent just as if nothing happened covering the ut with a plaster and continuing with what he was doing.

Next we can see him getting prepared to go some were generating suspense because it looks really scary and it feels like something bad has happened.

Next we can see the character moving towards the scary and very irritating noise coming from the phone in the kitchen.

This is usually done from people that don’t want to be called generating a great deal of suspense in the audience.
