IT’S MOVEMBER IN NOLA...and we’re ready to help. The 2nd annual NOLA Stache Dash is a 3K fun run held in conjunction with a Saints tailgate party to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer at the nation’s only Musicians’ Clinic.

But you don’t have to walk or run in order to enjoy the event! The Tailgate for a Cause is also a party with plenty of Bloody Marys, mimosas, great food, live music and a moustache contest.

Proceeds from donations, sponsorships, registrations, raffles and auctions benefit patients of the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic (NOMC), a 22 year old nonprofit that provides comprehensive healthcare to local performers. Last year, NOLA Stache Dash raised more than $7,500 to benefit early detection and treatment of prostate cancer at the NOMC.

So grow your stache and get in shape for the most fun run of the year! Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each category, plus prizes for the Best Moustache and Beard.

THE VENUE

THE RACE

Central City BBQ, located 8 blocks from the Superdome at 1201 South Rampart Street, is the premier BBQ joint and entertainment venue in New Orleans. With over 30,000 sq ft of outdoor space, a permanent stage, and outdoor bar, it’s the perfect place to tailgate before the big game. Enjoy the Tailgate for a Cause, then stay and watch the big game on one of their 15ft Big Screen TVs in the Pit Room. Free parking is available on the corner of Clio and South Saratoga Street.

Begins at the Smokeyard at Central City BBQ and loops around historic St. Charles Avenue.Every 1/4mile for beer, water, soft drinks.

7:30am-8:30am8:30am All runners must be registered by 8:15am and wear an official race bib while on the course. Race t-shirts will be given to the first 250 entrants.

THE TAILGATEParty with the Pussyfooters, Saints SupaFans and more as we warm up for the big game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tailgate tickets will include unlimited wine, bloody marys, brunch and live music by New Orleans’ own Parole Violation. Wear your stache for the wacky and wild Mustache Contest and win the grand prize trip for two to the Trinchero Family Estate in NAPA Valley (airfare not included, must be 21+ to win).

THE CHARITYEstablished in 1998, NOMC is the nonprofit medical home for more than 2,500 local musicians and tradition bearers. With a mission to keep musicians ALIVE, they provide low cost access to comprehensive primary care through the LSU Healthcare Network, mental health, social services and wellness education. The only clinic of their kind in the U.S.A., their services are available to all New Orleans performers, regardless of their insurance status.
