AMP PISANI AUXILIARY MACHINES FOR CUTTING ROOM AND BIAS
AMP PISANI is the world leader for project and production of bias groups as it has first introduced on the market many technological innovations like the first automatic tubesewing machine with self alignment of the selvedges, the first automatic slitting machine with the complete protection of the blade and the first pressing calender for ribbons equipped with an integrated bobbin rewinding system. The experience accumulated in over 40 years in the production of these equipments allows the company to offer a complete range of complimentary machines for bias and other operations for cutting room and to propose the best solutions for each customer. The AMP PISANI range of auxiliary machines for bias and for cutting room consists of:
1 WINDING MACHINES
• The AMP PISANI winding machines do the operation of rewinding rolls of fabric with adjustable rewinding
tension. They are particularly suitable to divide fabric rolls or to rewind fabrics with adjustable rewinding tension as a preparation to slitting or to rewind without tension very elastic materials.
• The units are available in the models with automatic alignment of the selvedge on one side class APR or with a manual alignment class APM. All machines are available on requests for larger fabric widths.
2 RIBBON PRESSING MACHINES
• The AMP PISANI pressing machines for ribbons do the operation of folding or thermocoupling then winding (in spools or rolls) ribbons of different materials.
• All the machines are available with devices to rewind the ribbons in rolls or spools after pressing to avoid to doing this operation a second time.
• The machines are available in the model class ROTOSTIR with a calender drum or in the simplified inexpensive model with heated rolls class MINISTIR.
• Both units are available in the models equipped with devices specifically designed to press and rewind in rolls waistbands.
• The machine class ROTOSTIR is also available in the model ROTOSTIR/P specially designed to press the elastic laces and collect them in boxes and equipped with a special device to prevent the ribbons in the machine from turning yellow due to over heating when the calender stops.
3 HOT CUT MACHINES
• AMP PISANI offers a complete range of hot cut machine modularly configurable for each necessity of
the users. The cutting system with fixed razor-cut blade is the most common used while the exclusive heated rotary knife offers excellent cutting capabilities and welding of the edges for very thick materials.
4 PERFORATING MACHINES
• AMP PISANI offers the high performance and low noise machine PERF/12 (12 ribbons) and PERF/6 (6
ribbons) to perforate the thermoadhesive reinforces of the waistbands and edge control ribbons.

The automatic winding machine class APR/2000ES is the most technologically advanced product of our range of rewinding machines and allows the automatic winding of any fabric having max width
200 cm (78”) with the requested tension (tension free winding also possible) with alignment on one edge and measuring of the total length of the fabric.

The rewinding machine for ribbons class BOBINATORE is a machine for rewinding up to two ribbons in spool with
possibility to adjust the rewinding tension with a clutch for each spool.

TX/1800 HOT AND COLD SLITTING/REWINDING MACHINE
HOT AND COLD SLITTING/REWINDING MACHINE CLASS TX/1800
The high productivity slitting/rewinding unit for hot and cold cut class TX/1800 can slit most of materials in roll (polyester, nylon, plastic, paper, films, laminated, non woven, PVC and so on) including tension sensitive material. The versatility of the unit enables easy slitting of virtually all materials with:
a) Crush-cut rotary blades or razor knives for hot cut b) Cold cut rotary blades
The machine is modular and it is possible to equip it with different combinations of knives depending on the customer's use and it is also available for roll widths larger than the standard.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
• Unwinding section for rolls up to diam. 40cm or 16" / max width 180 cm or 71" (machines with widths up to 300cm and larger roll diameters are possible on requests) and a rewinding section on two shafts for the cut material.
• The unwinding system of the fabric roll to be slit is equipped with an electromagnetic brake to adjust the unwinding tension.
• The cut rolls are rewound on two expanding shafts equipped with electromagnetic clutch to adjust the rewinding tension with a special automatic rewinding tension control system that guarantees a constant rewinding tension while the rewound rolls increase their diameter during the cutting operation.
• A vacuum system can remove the selvedge on the two sides of the roll.
• The shaft support for the slit rolls is equipped with a pneumatic device to lock quickly all the cardboard cores and it is possible to remove from the machine to avoid stopping production downtimes during the loading/unloading operations.
• The cutting width is obtained by positioning the knives on a rack using special gauges that can make this operation quicker.
• A photocell stops the machine before the fabric is finished (for an easy threading of the machine with new fabric that can be joined to the end of the previous fabric).
• The cut is achieved by the knives on an HSS hardened steel bush of large diameter that supports the cutting blades.
• The pressure of the knives on the fabric, the temperature, the cutting speed and the rewinding tension are adjustable.
The heated knives are available in 2 models:
TC/HRT Hot cut circular rotary blades “crush-cut” with single temperature control, built-in thermocouple on each resistance and single up/down movement with pneumatic cylinder for each blade
TC/HFX Razor-cut knife for hot cut with one thermocouple to control the heating of all knives.
• The heated knives are grouped on two different supports, one for the razor cut knives TC/HFX and one upper beam with two opposite rows either for the heated crush-cut rotary blades TC/HRT or for the cold crush cut rotary knives TC/CLD
• Single positioning of the rotary blades TC/HRT on the fabrics with a pneumatic cylinder for each device and possibility to store and retrieve in the memory of the computer which controls the cutting configuration.
• The fixed knives TC/HFX are mounted on a support that moves towards the fabric with pneumatic displacement.
• The machine can be equipped with a maximum of 80 rotary knives class TC/HRT and 90 knives class TC/HFX and TC/CLD.
• PLC controlled machine equipped with an operator panel for online troubleshooting and data settings ( meter counter and temperature). It is also possible to display the actual temperature values on each crush cut rotary knife TC/HRT.

DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE
The unit LTP/1800 automatically converts open knitwear fabric in rolls of open fabric with warp in horizontal. Machines automatically unwinds then cuts rectangular pieces of open knitwear fabric to sew them together on the other side to get the horizontal warps then it winds automatically the material with nearly zero winding tension. The output roll can be slit with a manual or automatic roll slitting machine. Final result is a roll of material with horizontal warps and horizontal junction sewing as shown below:

Compared to traditional system (sew the open fabric in a tubular then cut with a collarette cutting machine) there is a fabric sawing of around 70% plus a huge reduction in manpower (one operator is sufficient for running this unit plus a roll slitting machine
TECHNICAL FEATURES
• Unwinding system for the input roll with automatic alignment of one selvedge and lazy loop after unwinding device to feed the fabric without tension. The position of the selvedge permits to adjust the trimming cut during the further sewing operation to remove from the fabric the requested quantity of material depending on the conditions of the selvedge

• All machine parameters programmable on a touch screen panel SHORT DESCRIPTION OF AUTOMATIC CYCLE UNWINDING OF THE KNITWEAR FABRIC ROLL
Operator loads the open knitwear fabric roll on the unwinding device on the left of the machine then adjusts the photocells for aligning the selvedge and enters on the touch screen panel the width of the trimming cut on the sewing machine (can read it on the ruler of the adjustable photocell support) then the length and the quantity of rectangles to cut. The pliers pull the material to do the initial transversal cut then operator remove the waist and machine is ready for operations
POSITIONING OF THE FIRST RECTANGLE OF FABRIC Operator starts loading cycle then pliers move to the left to clamp the fabric and pull it to the programmed cutting length. Transversal cutter will separate the rectangle then pliers move the rectangle to the sewing system. During the movement the machine will detect automatically the actual length of the fabric to compensate the variations due to the elasticity of knitwear material.
THREADING THE WINDING SYSTEM Operator will thread the fabric on the pliers to clamp the material for the sewing operation then he threads the upwinding system for the sewed rectangles sticking the fabric to the paper tube of the winding system. A photocell system automatically detects the trimming width of the selvedge then machine is ready for automatic cycle
AUTOMATIC CYCLE After cycle start, the unwinding device feeds the fabric with automatic alignment while the pliers (already to the left of its stroke) pull it. Once it has been reached the programmed cutting width, the transversal cutter cut the fabric and then pliers move the rectangular piece forwards to the sewing area. During movement the machine will measure the actual length as there is always dome variation for elasticity that will be compensated for the next cut Now sewing machine will do automatic sewing while pliers move to the left for the next operation. At the end of sewing machine will return to its initial position and winding system will do automatic winding and alignment of the fabric in the roll.

LTR1600 FULLY AUTOMATIC MACHINE FOR CUTTING RECTANGULAR PIECES OF FOAM DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE: The automatic cutting system for laminated foam rolls class LTR1600 automatically cut rectangular pieces from a foam roll of large dimensions (max diam150cm, max width 160cm) with automatic stacking of the cut pieces The operator loads the foam roll on the machine then he sets up the length and the quantity of rectangles requested for the production lot plus (with option device LTR/AUTO) the cutting width of each strip.
