IAI’s MBT Space Division is a “Space House” (One Stop Shop) for p p ( p p)GEO and LEO satellites, operating since the beginning of the 80's with an enviable 100% in-orbit success. MBT space unique cost-effective products consist of communication and observation satellites andproducts consist of communication and observation satellites and ground control stations for both GEO and LEO satellites. MBT Space's turnkey programs offer all levels of activities, from subsystems to y p g ycomplete, efficient, cost-effective space systems. In recent years, MBT space has undergone a breakthrough - Now

IAI has recently revealed that an advanced and innovative optical imaging satellite – veryIAI has recently revealed that an advanced and innovative optical imaging satellite very high-resolution OPTSAT 3000, is currently being developed. IAI also develops and manufactures the EROS family of commercial high-resolution imaging satellites, for ImageSat International (ISI) company. The TecSAR, a demonstration SAR satellite, is also in orbit providing exceptional images. TecSAR is the first of its kind developed in Israel, and ranks among the world's most p , gadvanced space systems. The satellite is considered a technological breakthrough and will complement information needs that cannot be provided by electro-optical satellite, i.e. provides images during day, night and all weather conditions, including under cloudprovides images during day, night and all weather conditions, including under cloud cover. Last year, Northrop Grumman signed an exclusive agreement with IAI to market the TECSAR satellite to the U.S. Government.AMOS 3 will join AMOS 1 and AMOS 2 in the orbital locations of 4 degrees west on theAMOS-3 will join AMOS-1 and AMOS-2 in the orbital locations of 4 degrees west on the equator. This position enables SpaceCom Company to provide communication services to the Middle East, Central Europe and the east coast of the U.S.

Achievements in the third of the Amos SatellitesAchievements in the third of the Amos SatellitesAchievements in the third of the Amos SatellitesAchievements in the third of the Amos SatellitesBuilding this satellite was ordered from MBT SPACE by SPACECOM following the technical/financial success of our previous two satellites the Amos 1 andthe technical/financial success of our previous two satellites, the Amos-1 and Amos-2.Amos-1 will celebrate this coming May 16th the completion of 12 years of operation in orbit, while being planned for less than 11 years. For ensuring the continuity of service we launch Amos-3, to replace it at same location, to serve same customers and others.Amos-2 was launched on December 27, 2003 and still has seven and a half years to serve.Amos 3 will be the first Western satellite to be launched direct into its geoAmos-3 will be the first Western satellite to be launched direct into its geo-stationary orbit at 36,000km altitude above Earth by using the ZENIT and additional stage - 'Block-DM' - originally built for missions to Mars. This is enabled by the development of commercial use of large Russian missiles as launchers. The latter is the major trend today in launching large Eastern satellites, and we anticipate other Western countries to follow us in it.

Achievements in the third of the Amos SatellitesAchievements in the third of the Amos SatellitesAchievements in the third of the Amos SatellitesAchievements in the third of the Amos SatellitesUsing the Zenit/Block-DM, IAI is able to launch a satellite lighter than its predecessor but having 6 years longer service life of about 18 yearspredecessor but having 6 years longer service life, of about 18 years.Other advantages :

Less fuel - 420kg versus 760;Less fuel 420kg versus 760;More communication payload – 250kg versus 160, an increase of about 55%;More channels, more frequencies, and more income, for more service years; In the design-efficiency criterion for communication satellites accepted in this area –'bandwidth-per-kg' – Amos-3 will be among the world's best.

The satellite was built by the project team comprising about 100 employees inThe satellite was built by the project team comprising about 100 employees, in IAI's MBT SPACE Division at the Yehud Campus, within 3 years.Several of the best European space technology companies shared an AmosSeveral of the best European space technology companies shared an Amos satellite this third time, among them Alenia, Alcatel, Thales, Astrium and others. They contributed significantly to its success and we are grateful to them for that.
