SUMMER TRAINING GUIDELINES2-YEAR MBA PROGRAM

Dear Student

Summer Training is an important part of your Two year MBA Programme at Amity Business

School, AUH. The objective of the Summer Training is to understand and apply theoretical

concepts in practical environment and develop better understanding of the Corporate World.

This is also aimed at helping you to acquire the practical knowledge in the specialization areas

that you will be choosing for your future career. Therefore, it is advised that:-

1. A student should take the summer training very seriously.

2. Understanding the summer training assignment fullyits objectives, methodology to be

followed and the time frame in which it has to be completed. Two copies of Training

Report is to be submitted (One Hard Bound + One Soft Copy in a CD) to Amity

Business School, AUH latest by 31st

July 2012.

3. Producing the quality training work, which would:

a. Help in gaining the understanding/ expertise in a specific area.b. Help in testing/ relating theoretical concepts in the practical situationc. Help in evolving the new theories and conceptsd. Help in gaining experience of working in the real life situatione. Build your rapport with the supervisorf. Build the rapport between Amity Business School, AUH and your Summer Training

organization

g. Create goodwill among your industrial guide for Amity Business School, AUH.

Therefore, it is not only the responsibility but also an opportunity as well for a student tobuild a close relationship between his/ her Institute and Summer Training organization.

4. All the students of MBA (2nd Sem.) undergoing Summer Training may please note the

following:

a. All the required documents to be furnished by the student should be duly completed ingood handwriting within the stipulated time. The summer training report shall not be

accepted without the submission of the required documents.

b. They should keep their Faculty Guide well informed about the status of the report. Theymust reply promptly to all the phone calls/ emails send by the Institute.

c. A copy of the training report must be submitted to the Industry guide also well in time.d. No extension for the completion of summer training will be allowed beyond starting of

next semester.

The following would definitely help you to achieve the above:

1. Be punctual in your office timings.

2. Be sincere towards your Summer Training.

3. Offer your supporting hand to your industry guide for work other than your

Summer Training.

4. Periodic brief about the progress of your Summer Training to the Institute, and

getting the Summer Training completed in time.
