Design Innovation Summer Award 2015 May 2015 – August 2015
• Designed a smartphone attachment that enables it to act as a digital microscope.
• Programmed image processing tool using OpenCV to remove aberrations and noise.
• Built android app with integrated OpenCV to obtain cell count in the sample for detecting anaemia.
• Optimised lens magnification and resolution through computer simulations to achieve 30x magnification.
• Utilized parabolic lens instead of spherical lens to reduce spherical aberration.

News Article Classifier Prof. Parag Singla, September 2015
• Implemented the Naive Bayes algorithm with Laplace Smoothing in C++.
• Developed a model for classifying a news article into one of the eight given categories.
Search Engine in Java Prof. Amitabha Bagchi, September 2015
• Implemented inverted index using Hash Table and AVL Tree data structures.
• Built a search engine that returns pages in the order of decreasing relevance for a compound search.
