reception for the Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel; who will be awarded a distinct Medal ofFreedom. Such an honorable medal reportedly relates to Germanys actions of security that

were in the best interest of Americas welfare. The German economy has always been noted for itsquality of status-promoting automobiles and machinery: BMW and Mercedes Benz cars; which

were technologically cutting-edge historically.

Inflation is a horrific word in Germany, and for this fact, Germanys attempt to practice fiscally

responsible behavior is non-negotiable. In attempts of rebalancing the economy, whileavoiding debt, Germany does rank high in relation to world exportation and trade with respect toEurope.

Chancellor Merkers speech reflected on her past life experiences and its encounters withfreedom. Her speech also mentioned the issue of the Berlin Wall which divided Germany intotwo blocks almost a quarter of a century ago. Her story unveiled a past that was unlikely to leadto her current experience of being in America receiving her Medal of Freedom. She indeedappeared grateful to America for her global recognition.
