To the Morning Star of grace.
From the shifting shadows of the earth
We will lift our eyes to HimWhere steady arms of
mercy reachTo gather children in.
Rejoice!! Rejoice!!Let every tongue rejoice! One heart, one voice,
Oh, Church of Christ,Rejoice!!
Come, those whose joy is morning sun,
And those weeping through the night.
Come, those who tell of battles won,
And those struggling in the fight.
For His perfect love will never change,
And His mercies never cease,
But follow us through all our days
With the certain hope of peace.
Rejoice!! Rejoice!!Let every tongue rejoice! One heart, one voice,
Oh, Church of Christ,Rejoice!!
Come, young and old from every land,
Men and women of the faith.
Come, those with full or empty hands,
Find the riches of His grace.
Over all the world His people sing;
Shore to shore we hear them call
The truth that cries through every age:
“Our God is all in all.”

1 Corinthians 9:27 I do not run aimlessly, I
do not box as one beating the air; but I pommel my body and subdue it, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.
What is the one thing that God allows to hinder His working?
Unbelief He set up His plan to include
Faith as a key factor in the fulfillment of that plan.
Only a few days' journey from the Promised Land – What happened?
Numbers 13-14 WE ARE UNABLE GOD IS NOT ABLE This verdict is the most
appalling accusation ever to fall from human lips!
Unbelief discredits and limits the work of God!
Psalm 78:41; Matthew 13.58
Unbelief festered inside them and led to rebellion.
GOD’S PROGRAM GROUND TO A HALT FOR 40 YEARS!
That generation was disqualified from entering the Land.
Not because of walls or giants;
but because of their heart attitudes of unbelief and rebellion.
God seeks to bless those who trust Him. Prov 3.5; 2 Chr 6.19
Hear the pain in God’s words:Numbers 14:20-23
“I won’t do it with this generation of people, but, believe Me, I will do it!”
God will not work through unbelieving and stubborn people!
He waited for the next generation.
1 Corinthians 9:27-10:13 Paul didn’t want to be
disqualified. He didn’t want to fall into
some temptation and end up on the shelf.
The purpose of the Biblical record:
God doesn’t want us to fall into or be captured by disqualifying sins.
Principles of Victory v.12 We can’t do it alone… We must “take heed” to fight the
temptations and face the tests that could lead to disqualification.
v.13 There is a “Way of Escape” Faith in God for every battle God’s forgiveness and mercy when
we fail You are able because He is able!
Psalm 23
The Lord’s my Shepherd, I’ll not want.He makes me lie in pastures green. He leads me by the still, still waters,
His goodness restores my soul.
Chorus
And I will trust in You aloneAnd I will trust in You alone,
For Your endless mercy follows me,Your goodness will lead me home.
Psalm 23
He guides my ways in righteousness,And He anoints my head with oil,And my cup, it overflows with joy,
I feast on His pure delights.
Chorus
And I will trust in You aloneAnd I will trust in You alone,
For Your endless mercy follows me,Your goodness will lead me home.
Psalm 23
And though I walk the darkest path,I will not fear the evil one,
For You are with me, and Your rod and staff
Are the comfort I need to know.
Chorus
And I will trust in You aloneAnd I will trust in You alone,
For Your endless mercy follows me,Your goodness will lead me home.
