a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

Romans 8:37-39Yet in all these things we are

more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Peter 1:5-10But also for this very reason, giving

Romans 8:24-25For we were saved in this hope,

but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

Hebrews 6:17-20Thus God, determining to show

more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, 18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. 19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

It Speaks of Eternity “When we’ve been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun; we’ve no less days to sing God’s praise than when we first begun.”

2 Corinthians 5:1 Romans 6:22-23

God assures us that eternal life is the reward of the faithful (cf. Matthew 25:46)

2 Corinthians 5:1For we know that if our earthly

house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Romans 6:22-23But now having been set free

from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Amazing Grace

The song expresses wonderful sentiments, and we should sing it

often.

However, the Grace the songdescribes is even greater! We

should praise God for the wonderful gift of eternal life that He has given

usthrough His Son.
