Alumini experiences from study aborad

I’m studying at Leeds Metropolitan University. It’s a great university with a fantastic student environment and great teachers. People in Leeds are so polite you can’t imagine. Anywhere you go, people will help you, guide you and greet you. Leeds has a great variety of bars, restaurants, café, shopping opportunities, art, entertainment, museums and so on. You’ll not be bored in Leeds. The city is also centered in the heart of England, making it so easy to travel to for example London, Edinburgh and Manchester. A trip to the beautiful Yorkshire dales is also something you must do while you’re here. A semester abroad is an opportunity to get to know another country and another culture. And it looks good on your CV. I really enjoy living in Leeds, and I’ll definitely come back at some point. I now have friends from Malaysia! “The Rose Bowl” building is also a part of the University. This is in the back yard of my accommodation, which I like very much. This is me in front of Leeds Town Hall Currently studying Export Marketing in Leeds Metropolitan University, U.K. Marlen Gundersen

Child Care Internship in Spring - Christ University, IndiaIngvild Moen Stokvold

A visit to the Taj Mahal

Auto-rickshaw ride

In spring semester 2012, I and three other girls from my study programme travelled to India to undergo an internship in the city of Bangalore. Through Christ University, I gained an opportunity to work with several organizations: centers for street children, self-help groups for women, HIV center for children and in the process got to see their initiatives for vulnerable groups of people. I also travelled a great deal, and got to see the magnificent Taj Mahal! In addition I also had a wonderful Easter holiday in Goa. Studying abroad is the best choice I have made and I would recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity.

Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg is located in southern Germany, bordering France and Switzerland. Freiburg is known as Germany's "green city" and is a cozy town with many environmentally conscious and committed people. The University has a large campus area with cafes and canteens with affordable and good food. Most subjects are taught in German. There is no offer for international students both before and during the trials to learn the language and the culture. It is usually okay to follow the lectures even if you do not quite steady in German. What may be difficult is to participate in the discussions, which are a large part of the teaching in Germany. But as an international student has an "excuse" to escape if you will. Some professors will accept written work and exams in English. The University offers many social opportunities for students, such as sports, yoga, lectures, parties, etc.. Freiburg is no metropolis, but about 20% of the population are students, which makes the city vibrant and colorful. If you are interested in German language and European culture is certainly a study to recommend!
