with Neptune to guard,

All saddled and bridled

the pet of our yard.

our here and there

And bring to hives

the sweet honey we crave.

in the shade of trees;

They are chewing the cud,

and seem quite at ease.

and playing together;

They care not for rain

which we find in a nest;

They still are quite warm,

from hens downy breast.

the hens and the cocks.

then scamper away.

to the meadow along.

in the quiet moonlight.

so pleasant and cool.

the strength of the beer.
