UXO & ERW Hotspots
" UXO hotspots are mainly a result of explosions at ammuni/on storage sites.
" AAF and AMMCO Technical Assessments have iden/fied ini/ally 19 UXO hotspots.
" The contamina/on includes unexploded ordnance of various types.
" 149 people have been killed and 883 injured by unexploded ordnances throughout Albania since the 1997 Unrest, excluding the mine vic/ms in Kosovo border.
" The last accident recorded in 29 March 2014.

Underwater UXO
• Stated EU Goal – Council Decision 2013/730/CFSP, 9 December 2013 – 65% of Albanian Armed Forces Stockpile is SALW Ammuni/on
• Stated MOD Goal
• Funding Requirement – 2014: 55,000 Euros (Site # 1) – 2015: 60,000 Euros (Site # 2)
