• Provided leadership and vision to our growing chapter

• Met with various groups about AIGA

Starting with the fall of 2012, we planned, held, or attended approx. 29 events through AIGA and helped to promote 7 community events for a total of 36 events we were involved with as a chapter.

Types of events included: • Small and large socials (gatherings, Valentine’s & Christmas) • Student Portfolio Review with High Point University • Guest speakers of local designers and illustrators, social

media experts, paper reps and GFDA (national speakers) • Studio Tours in Gboro and Winston-Salem (Spring & Fall) • Amanda attended national leadership retreat in Philly;

helped organize the retreat for our board • Adobe Workshop-Creative Cloud • Design Week (including a studio tour and logo competition)

Top attendance was for the Studio Tours in Greensboro and Winston-Salem with both exceeding 100 attendees!

• Attending weekly board meetings and holding as-needed events meetings

• Determining events for the year

• Coordinating all event details for speakers, venues, food, decorations

• Working with the treasurer to establish and work within budgets for events

• Currently have a roster of 40 volunteers

• Created Volunteer Agreement to allow volunteers to attend events at reduced-cost

• With Events/Programming, put on major events requiring volunteers such as studio tours, design exhibits, Adobe CC training, parties/socials, and lectures
