ABOUT Ethiopia

Ethiopia, officially known as the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, is a country located in the Horn of Africa. It is bordered by Eritrea to the north and northeast, Djibouti and Somalia to the east, Sudan and South Sudan to the west, and Kenya to the south. With over 93,000,000 inhabitants Ethiopia is the most populous landlocked countries in the world, and the second-most populated nation on the African continent. It occupies a total area of 1,100,000 square kilometres (420,000 sq mi), and its capital and largest city is Addis Ababa

Projects in AIESEC in Ethiopia Education

English is becoming the basic language for our communal world and there is the need for everyone to learn and develop on their English language. This project seeks to improve the speaking, writing and communication among the youth of Ethiopia.

Health and lifestyle

Water is one of the basic necessities of human kind and the environment and we need to preserve and conserve it for the future and also know the effects of drinking unclean water. This project seeks to address to the universities and communities in Ethiopia about water related issues and its effects.

Autism is a complex neurobiological disorder that typically lasts throughout a person's lifetime. People with ASD have problems with social and communication. Getting close to this kids gives them more reason of live and keeps a smile on their face..

Working with orphaned kids, children from underprivileged home, giving them the basic education and knowledge they will need to survive in life, exchanging cultural values with our ways of thinking goes a long way to make a child not feel left out but also among.

YOUTH EMPOWERMENTGender equality has become a subject for some past years.. How can we give our ladies the platform to also live up to their standard and not discriminate on the basis of gender. Join the SIM project and lets empower the young but very energetic ladies in Ethiopia

More like a cliché, unemployment is becoming a global issue and AIESEC in Ethiopia is by YES project training and empowering university students and recent graduates with entrepreneurial skills so they can be bosses of their own which will in-turn reduce the rate of unemployed graduates in Ethiopia.

Ethiopian culture…(food)Ethiopia is a country with a lot of strong beautiful cultures…the main/common food there is “njera” and is eaten with everything…..Also, Ethiopia is known for its quality and tasty coffee

Transportation in Ethiopia

BAJAJ as its called in Ethiopia, is one of the main means of transport…its very affordable and quite efficient in times of hurry/rush. It is not common in Addis Ababa, but very common in the cities outside of Addis Ababa

Mini-buses are called “TAXI”s and they are the most commonly used transport in Ethiopia

Cabs are used in Ethiopia mostly when there are no TAXIs, it tends to be expensive most times, but its an option.
