SINCE 1976 Established a Geo-technical Consulting Firm for Testing of Soils and Building Materials called “Al Hai & Al Mukaddam for Geo-technical Works” in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. The main activities of the firm include:
• Soil investigation - Analysis and Recommendations. • Material Testing - Quality Control. • Low Strain and High Strain Dynamic Testing of Piles. • Testing of concrete in existing structures.
Assessed hundreds of existing structures in the Middle East in terms of testing the quality and durability of the reinforced concrete (destructive and non-destructive) and checking the durability and safety of the related structures etc... Has designed several important structures and acted as structural consultant to leading design offices in the Gulf. SINCE 1993 Introduced Dynamic Pile Testing to the Gulf Area (Low strain - High strain) as per ASTM D4945-89 and AASHTO T 298-93 specifications which is the state of the art NDT method for testing the capacity as well as the integrity of the piles.

The Jack-up has been designed to carry Geotechnical Investigation in near shore lines, ports and tidal waters, with water depths upto 10 meters.
The Jackup is mobilised between locations by two outboard engines. The jack-up can be dismantled into its three ponttons and can be transported. The jack-up can be easily assembled on ports or barges, where there is water to float the barge.
The jack-up is large enough to accomadateany size of soil investigation rig, will all the possible different in-situ test equipment for testing in boreholes.

It can also handle rotary wash boring in soils and weak rock with 3 wing step type bits and diamond/TC tipped casings.
Equipped with a deck mounted high capacity pump and twin power head, the rig can drill to a depth of 200meters with a Swivel type double and triple tube core barrel of HW size, rotary wash boring with 3 wing step
type bit of 150mm diameter to a depth of 50 meters, and with diamond/TC tipped 115mm diameter casing to a depth of 40 meters.

SURVEY DEPARTMENT
Topographical Survey:
• Survey will be carried out using Leica GPS or Total Stations TC 1200 Series which ever would be applicable.
• Survey data will be processed using AutoCAD and Ski-Pro software and will be provided in digital format (3D AutoCAD DWG or DXF) compatible to AutoCAD or Microstation.
• Survey will be carried out relative to “UTM” System.
• All NOC drawings have to be submitted by the Client for References purposes.
• Control Stations have to be provided by the Client.
• Demarcation Coordinates (Easting, Northing) have to be provided by the Client.
• Aerial Survey is not included in our scope of work.
Establishing and Processing Control Stations:
• To Establish and Process 2 No Permanent Control Stations with Concrete on site.
Underground Utility Survey:
• Underground cable detection for required area of the plot will be surveyed to check any live wires or
cables under passing the plot.
• Metallic pipes can be traced but plastic pipes can not be traced by the Cable detector.
• Invert levels of the manholes would be submitted which could be opened.
• The flow of the service would be mentioned incase of sewerage manhole.
• All the underground utilities will be detected and marked in the drawing.
• All information is presented in AutoCAD 2009 format.
