We are so thankful for the hundreds of children we have found in desperate situations, whose lives have been changed through the grace of God using Cookie Project to feed, deparisite, teach and develop health, hygiene and agriculture practices. God has seen fit for us to partner with churches and organizations both in Honduras and here in the states to also bring VBS & Bible studies that have change lives eternally ........but God always brings to my mind and my heart the story of the one lost sheep.........May we never become complacent in our quest to find others whose lives are still so desperate! Thank you all for your part in staying faithful to the mission of Cookie Project Honduras! Sincerely, Rinda 3 , HOLA, this summer was not the usual CPH summer mission trip. There were a lot of changes! First, you may know Rinda Davis was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was unable to attend this trip due to surgery, yet she is recovering well and hopes to return to Honduras in December. Second, we were joined by a team from Fellowship Baptist Church (Central, LA). This group prepared our VBS program. The theme was simple, but so powerful! Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us.” They presented this message to each of the 6 villages we visited, through music, Bible study, crafts, recreation, and sports evangelism. Our team this summer included: Jennifer Thompson, Kenny Jones, David “Bob” Granier, Jeff & Charity Phillips, Hannah Phillips, Delanie Pruitt, Jamie Pruitt, Dennis Huckaby, Melinda Watts, Melanie Schopp, James Schopp, and Joseph Schopp. Together we created a dynamic team that was able to spread the Gospel together through out each village! Jennifer Thompson AGRICULTURE PROJECT On day 4, we visited Ms. Jeni, Principal of the school in Sabaneta. Due to a designated project by First Baptist Crowville, Cookie Project is able to provide funds for meals while they are in school, in addition to the distribution of the cookies to the younger children. We have partnered with this school and local Honduran families and taught them how to grow a garden to help provide nutritious fresh vegetables and herbs. This garden has caught the attention of local media in Honduras and a segment was aired on national television with much interest! We have also approached a school in the mountains outside of Tegucigalpa that is in need of ministry, agriculture, nurtition and hygiene training. God has us always on the move.
