October 2018 MEET THE SPEAKERS Andrew Clouston, Chief Customer Officer, Volt Bank Andrew has over 20 years of experience in Australian financial services, in both senior leadership and founder roles. He founded a large mortgage broking business, Club Financial Services, and co-founded MOGO bankconnect; a RegTech providing digital verification services used by major banks, consulting firms and credit bureaus. Andrew brings a wealth of customer-centric experience to his role of Chief Customer Officer at volt bank. Ben Heap, Founding Partner, H2 Ventures Ben Heap is a founding partner of H2 Ventures, a venture capital investment firm that focuses on Fintech, data, and artificial intelligence. He is also a non-executive director of the Star Entertainment Group Limited (ASX: STR) and a member of the Australian Commonwealth Government’s ‘Fintech Advisory Group’. He was formerly the Managing Director of UBS Global Asset Management in Australia and has 26 years of financial services and investment experience, predominately in Australia and the United States. Doug Morris, CEO, Sharesight Doug Morris is the CEO of Sharesight, the award-winning investment portfolio tracker that automates portfolio administration and makes tax- time a breeze for DIY and professional investors. Prior to joining Sharesight, Doug was Global Product & Marketing Manager for Equity & Credit Research at Morningstar, where he previously held product and sales positions in Australia and the United States. Lachlan Hughes, Investment Associate, NAB Ventures Lachlan Hughes is an Investment Associate at NAB Ventures, joining the fund shortly after it was established in early 2016. In his current role Lachlan works across NAB and the existing portfolio to identify and execute on opportunities for the bank and start-ups to collaborate, helping the bank innovate and the start-ups scale. This is in addition to the standard venture functions of deal sourcing, executing and portfolio support. Nik Kritikos, Country Head of Origination, Saxo Capital Markets Nik Kritikos joined Saxo as Head of Institutional Sales Australia. He has over 20 years’ experience in financial markets having started his career as a Sales Trader at Deutsche Bank after graduating from the University of Technology Sydney with a Bachelor in Business. He joined JP Morgan in Sydney as the Executive Director for Global Cash Equities providing research, execution and marketing making facilities for key local and offshore clients for 9 years before being relocated to JP Morgan in New York and later followed by JP Morgan in Hong Kong. Niels Maartens, Chief Operating Officer, YBF Ventures Niels joins YBF as COO after a role as CFO for Fintech lender Nimble Money. Niels is a former global executive leader at GE, one of the world’s largest manufacturing and finance companies. Among other roles, he was Director of Finance & Operations at GE Capital Australia. Niels spent a total of 13 years with GE and was named company executive in 2011. During his tenure, he lived and worked in 9 different countries and had exposure to 6 different industry sectors, including materials, energy, financial services, media, and technology. Rohen Sood, Investment Manager, Reinventure Group Rohen is an Investment Manager at Reinventure Group, after joining the company near its near its beginning in 2014. He has been involved in all fund investments made to date across Funds 1, 2 and 3. He sits on the Basiq, Codelingo, Indebted and Zetaris boards. Prior to joining Reinventure, Rohen spent four years as a Management Consultant with firms such as AT Kearney and PwC, working across Financial Services, FMCG, Mining and Private Equity sectors. He holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (with Honours) and Commerce.
