To approve order approving a new Dallas County Tax Abatement Policy to replacethe policy adopted under Court Order No. 98-252 (2/10/98) to be used toevaluate all tax abatement requests received by Dallas County and the DallasCounty Hospital District for a period of two (2) years unless otherwise repealed,amended, or extended.

22. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the transfer of funds, as outlined, to benefit theDepartmental Discretionary Account (DDA) of Constable Rick Richardson, Precinct3, based on management initiatives that create a cost-savings to the taxpayer(commitment to hold a clerk position [#174] vacant from March 1, 2000 toAugust 31, 2000).

To approve order approving the request of the Juvenile Department's CourtLiaison Unit for an exception to policy to hire a former employee on a temporarybasis for a period not to exceed six (6) months at the maximum in-hire rate.

To approve order authorizing the expenditure of five (5) computer related requestsfor the County Clerk's Office for a total one time cost of $6,050 to be fundedfrom the County Clerk's 914/91 3 Preservation Account, which will be transferredinto account 00120.4031 .08630.2000.

To approve order approving the reallocation of unexpended FY 1999-2000 Stateof Texas HIV Health and Social Services Grant funds from Oak lawn CommunityServices (OlCS) to AIDS Interfaith Network, Inc. (AIN) in the adult day care,congregate meals, and transportation (people) service categories, and authorizingthe County Judge to sign the contract amendments on behalf of Dallas County.

29. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving the FY 1999-2000 State of Texas HIV Health andSocial Services Grant contract amendment with Dallas legal Hospice to increasetheir legal service unit cost to $23.00, and authorizing the County Judge to signthe contract amendment on behalf of Dallas County.

30. COURT ORDER:

To approve order approving the professional services contract in the amount of$36,000 with AIDS Housing of Washington for the purpose of conducting ahousing based needs assessment, and authorizing the County Judge to sign thecontract on behalf of Dallas County.

To approve order approving refunds to taxpayers, as listed, in amounts over$500.00 for erroneous or excessive tax payments.

32. COURT ORDER:

To approve order extending current contract (RFP No. 97-077 - InterlATA longDistance Service for Inmate and Coin Telephone Service) with MCITelecommunications for an additional twelve (12) month period, effective April1, 2000 through March 31, 2001, based on a 51 % commission paid by MCITelecommunications.

To approve order authorizing the sale of salvage base material from Road andBridge District stockpiles to TXI, Cement Treated Base as the sole user of theproduct for a cost of $4.00 per ton, until such time as another source isdetermined by the Purchasing Department.

35. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the sole source purchase of MAPSCO street guideand directory from Mapsco, Inc. for various Dallas County departments at anestimated cost of $14,020.00.

36. COURT ORDER:

To approve order authorizing the sole source purchase of Criss Cross Directoriesfrom Cole Information Services - Experian for various Dallas County departments,including an additional directory for Road & Bridge District No.1, at an estimatedcost of $16,444.00.

To approve order approving the recommendation of the Dallas County HistoricalFoundation and their execution of a contract with Phoenix I Restoration &Construction, LTD., for the restoration of the Kennedy Memorial.

To approve order authorizing the County Judge to execute Amendment No.1 tothe Lease with Princeton Capital, Inc. for 4,397 square feet of office space forthe Tax Office at 2436 Valley View, Farmers Branch, Texas, extending the leasefor an additional five (5) year term, effective July 1, 2000 through June 30,2005.
