School Forum is for Students who are struggling

with homework. It can be used outside of school

at any time to make sure they get the information

they need from other students to help with their

work

The Problem,

You’ve got homework due tomorrow and

desperately need some help from your

classmates

Page 4: Afg competition presentation

How can you get instant help to do your

homework?

Page 5: Afg competition presentation

You could just text a friend, but you cant have your

whole class at your finger tips to help with your

queries.

School Forum gives us a quick, easy way of

getting help.

My team, Pigs Might Fly, is developing a mobile app

to help students get their homework done on time with

help from other students in their class whilst at home via

forum. They will also be able to find out due dates and

useful websites on this app.

Our users are all students in some form of

education, and tend to have difficulty at

some point or another with homework.

There are several other Forums on the app

store, they are generally quick and smooth,

They also had very basic layouts and

everything was user-friendly, but they

weren't very pretty and our aim is to have a

very good looking app which is quick and

easy to use

Our main feature is the ability to talk to other students

on the forum.

As a student I want to know how to do my

homework so that I don’t fail

As a friendly person I want to help others with their

homework

As a student I want to know when my homework is

due so that I don’t miss the deadline

As a student I want to know useful websites so that I

can improve my work

As a student I want to know how my peers are coping

with their homework so that I don’t feel bad if I cant do

it

I think that this app is definitely feasible, it

requires internet access but most phones have

that already, it must also be able to store the

information other students send in.

Our target audience are students in high schools, sixth form

and maybe even university, we are confident that they would

have disposable income as they don’t really have to pay any

taxes or other important charges. We think that school could

also benefit form this app if we could have fundraisers to

help set it up and also give 10%of our income to school.

There are lots of apps currently on the market which I think

would like to reach our target audience so we will have some

advertisements but if the user wants to get rid of the

advertisements they would have to pay to remove them as

installing the app would be free. We are hoping that the

school would be able to sponsor us as well with things like

cake sales and raffle tickets to raise money for the app.

With the introduction of iPad in many schools in the UK there

is an ever increasing demand for online apps that support

education

One way we cold get our app across to our target buyers, the schools of the world, and get them to buy our app. Is to send a letter advertising why the app would be an asset to the school.

We also think that we can send emails to schools advertising our app and telling the schools about how it wold work.

We could send texts or phone calls to schools to inform them how our app would be useful in their school. This would help us to fund the app if the schools bought it
