[Bus tracker]
By
[Revolution]
The app is designed for people (mainly in Rossendale)
who often get the bus. People can keep track of delays
in the bus route. It can be any time of day at any bus
stop. If you leave at the last minute, you can check to
see if you have missed our bus or, even better, you
could see when it is coming’
Who is it designed
for?
Problem
Road works further down the line that you don’t know
about, you wait at the bus stop for far longer than
usual, you could get wet, cold, hot or have your hair
sent weird by humidity.
Questions
“How can I avoid missing my bus?”
“How do I know where my bus is?”
“What do I do if the bus route changes?”
“What is the best way to reach my destination?”
When you’re waiting for the bus, it may be later that you
expected, and so you can get the peace of mind of
knowing where the bus is and if it’s close to you.
If you are planning on getting the bus for a service you
aren’t used to, then you will want to know all the times
your chosen buses arrives at stops near you, so you can
plan beforehand which bus to get.
Key insights
Mini Elevator Pitch
Our team, Revolution, is developing a mobile app to help
people who are needing to catch a Rossendale bus
know where their buses are and arrive on them, on time
with a tracker on the app to let the user know where the
buses are.
I have learnt that particularly adults when they want to
go to work do it to provide for someone (their children)
and so they need an efficient way of getting to work –
(From Michelle, Bacup)
For students who want to get to school, getting to
their schools are particularly important because of
the school rules in which they will have to arrive on
time – (From Dominik, Burnley)
User profiles
Other trackers do exist however, they only span
across London, Glasgow and places in America.
This means that while it is not an original idea, it
can still be used for a specific area such as
Rosendale or Lancashire

MVP user stories and feature chosen
Our Minimum viable product will have to:
• Locate buses at stops
• Tell delays on routes
• Give bus times
Feature chosen:
Log where the bus is a certain points
The next few slides are the key wireframe
Feasibility
We chose this app because we think it is more feasible and useful than our previous ideas.
Our business plan is to try and create a free app by receiving sponsorship from Rosso as we might get them more customers. We might also get funding from Rossendale Borough as it benefits them by getting people off the roads
We can partner up with Rossendale Borough Council as the app will benefit them as it will improve function on bus routes. We can also partner with igo
We have space for advertisement on our app if necessary for funds
Our Target market includes most of Rossendale, including all this with a smartphone device who use bus services. Many have a disposable income but we would prefer to have a free app.
Our Target Market
We could be sponsored by Rosso, the bus company we are creating an app for

Revolution’s Business Plan
Bus passes for high school children in Manchester
Keeping the advert short and snappy
Show our age, being young will make the app seem impressive for someone of a young age
Create twitter and facebookpages as this is free and will spread quickly
Creating a poster and putting them in bus stops so they will appeal to the people who use buses
We need to make sure people know it is only in Rossendale
We could create an article for the free press as it is for around Rossendale.
We need to make sure it can appeal to all ages whowould use the bus service
Use internet services such as Quora&Reddit
