Prevent LPG FireThe most common cause of LPG fire incidents in Singapore is due to defective system components (such as faulty stove connection, leaking hoses and faulty regulators). Your LPG dealer should conduct a 5-point check on your LPG system each time a new cylinder is delivered and reinstalled. Otherwise, please contact your dealer to do so.

Does your LPG cylinder have a LPG Safety Tag?

The LPG Safety Tag is attached to the LPG cylinder to inform households of the checks performed by the LPG dealers. It acts as a form of checklist for the dealers when carrying out LPG Home Safety Checks.

Ensure your LPG dealers conduct systematic and comprehensive visual inspection of your LPG system. The 5-Point Visual Safety Check should include:

Indication of Issuance of LPG Safety Material

You should receive the LPG Safety Booklet which describes the safe handlingand usage.

The LPG particles start to accumulate from bottom up.

the ground.

Main Causes:

Defective LPG Cylinder, Regulator, Hose Clip,Hose, Joints, Connections or Stove

Solution:

Ensure your LPG Supplier/Dealer conducts the 5-Point Check each time a new cylinder is delivered and reinstalled.

Safety Tips for Household consumers using LPG:

u Ensure that the burner is lit up without placing cooking pots, pans or any other types of cookware on the burner.

u The user should only place the cookware on the burner of the stove after the burner is lit up.

u Keep windows open and the kitchen well ventilated while cooking.

u Never leave cooking unattended or place combustible items near the open flames.

u Keep the gas cylinder at least 1 metre away from open flames, heat sources and electrical outlets.

u Do not store more than one spare cylinder in your home at any time and it should be kept upright in a ventilated cabinet.

u Purchase your LPG accessories with SAFETY Mark only from authorised dealers.

u Request for your LPG dealer to conduct a 5-point check each time a new cylinder is delivered and reinstalled.

u After each check, ensure that a new LPG safety tag/checklist is given to you by your dealer.

u To report on suspected LPG leakages or LPG fires, please call the SCDF at 995.

给液化石油气家庭消费者的安全提示：

u 不要放置任何锅、平底锅或其它类型的锅具在灶头上。请确保您的灶头有被点燃。

u 您应该在点燃灶头后才把锅具放在炉子上。

u 煮饭时，请将窗户打开，并且保持厨房通风。

u 切勿在烹饪时离开点燃的火炉或将可燃物放在明火的附近。

u 请将煤气桶放在明火、热源和电源插座至少 1米远的地方。

u 请不要在任何时候在家里存放超过一桶备用的煤气桶。煤气桶必须以直立的方式放置在通风的橱里。

u 请只向授权的经销商购买拥有安全标签的液化石油气配件。

u 要求您的液化石油气经销商在送完和安装好新的煤气桶后为您进行5点检查。

u 请确保您的经销商有在每一次的检查后给您一个新液化石油气安全标签/检查表。

u 如果您怀疑有泄漏的液化石油气或液化石油气火灾，请立即拨打995向新加坡民防部队举报。
