What is animation ?

A simulation of movement created by displaying a series of pictures in frames

Lesson objectives:

To know what is animation?

To learn how to Create frame-by-frame animation.

Create glowing animated text.

How to test movie.

How to create frame by frame animation ? 1- Open flash

2- In the first frame, select the oval tool and draw a circle

3- Go to the second frame, right click and insert a key frame.

4- Move the circle to the right.

5- Go to the third frame and insert a key frame, then move the circle to the right again.

6- Keep doing these two steps until frame 10 or more ( as you like ), then press Ctrl + Enter

to test the movie

How to create a glowing text 1- Open Flash.

2- Change the name of the layer to your name

3- Select the text tool and write your name.

4- Add a new layer and drag it under the first layer. Name it background.

5- Select the rectangle tool and draw a black rectangle.

6- Go back to the text layer. Choose the selection tool and select your name.

7- From property, choose add filter and choose glow

8- Change the glow properties as following as shown in the picture

9- Select the frame 10 of both layers, right click and insert key frame.

10- Go back to the glow properties and change blur X to 80

11- Insert another key frame in frame 20 of both layers

12- Again, Go back to the glow properties and change blur X to 26

13- Go to the text layer, select any frame between 1 and 10, right click and choose ( create

classic tween), then select any frame between 10 and 20 and do the same thing , choose

classic tween.

14- Press ctrl + Enter to play the movie.
