Next Steps in the Application of ADAC

• Create Power Users – in Council,

• Development Industry Training – 12d and Council,

• Develop a customised Automated XML Analysis Program (AXML Tool) as:

• an initial “For Construction” review tool, and

• a tool to electronically compare ‘For Construction’ and ‘As Constructed’ XML – using the XML Analysis Program

For Construction XML opportunities(with XML Analysis Program)

• Initial review of “For Construction” at a technician level,

• Provide an independent services clash report,

• No need for ‘As Constructed’ plans – update Planning Scheme,

• Project Manager/Subdivision Engineer Level – Automated Integrity Checks – if XML Analysis Program was provided in vendor neutral platform rather than a design package,

• Total Station equipment could use XML.

In conclusion

• ADAC XML has been used in the region since 2017 and is an industry standard method of representing community assets – well accepted standard,

• For Construction XML has the potential to improve the handover process and save money in an industry where every cent counts – no more As Constructed plans,

• Next logical step is to extend the use of ADAC to Automated checking against business rule.
