LABOUR EDUCATION(1)
Education and training for the labour movement Labour education aimed at:
• Increasing the capacity of trade unions to plan and deliver educational programmes in line with their educational policies;
• Supporting the development and strengthening of specialized technical departments within trade unions;
• Within the broad notion of union capacity building labour education focuses its activities on building and strengthening a sustainable system of union education;+

• Strengthening the process of organising and capacity-building of trade unions;
• Promoting gender mainstreaming in all the activities of trade unions
• Supporting networking with a particular aim of developing labour education networks at different levels, from national (sectoral) level to the regional dimension,
