BNI participated as an invited scholar through the role of Dr. Dessy Irawati-Rutten, FERSA as both an economic scientist and a business representative of BNI in the Netherlands. As well as promoting the services of BNI-Surichange in the Netherlands for the Indonesian students and the Indonesian communities in The Hague areas and beyond, this event was intended to be the sharing place for the scholars.

BNI Participated in this event by promoting the services offered by BNI-Surichange in the Netherlands to the Indonesian community in Utrecht area and beyond. This event was a significant event to promote the Indonesian cultural heritage, cuisine, and traditional performances.

Also, the opportunity to meet up and give direct services to the clients during the event. This event was a great project from PPI Utrecht and partners.

The alumni member of Canisius College Jakarta in the Netherlands have widely scattered in the whole provinces. Most of them have become a significant human capital and social capital for the Indonesia. Together with Task Force Migration from Diaspora, BNI was also invited to give and share the presentation on the services offered by BNI-Surichange in the Netherlands for the member of this alumni. Chandra Bowling in Nieuewegein hosted this event.

This event was great place to meet up and connect with the other Indonesian Diaspora who lives in the Netherlands. Most importantly, the contributions to help the Indonesia has been channeling out in many sectors, from trade, health, charity work, and education.

Attending and networking with the Dutch business communities who actively doing their businesses between the Netherlands and Indonesia. Stichting Hibiscus has been initiating this regular dinner meeting every year.

BNI visited Brussels to promote the existence of BNI-Partners in the Netherlands to extend the services to the Indonesians who reside in Belgium. This event was intended also to celebrate the Indonesian Independence Day 17th

August.

Very warm welcome and enthusiastic queries received from the visitors during this event. As well as a great support from the Indonesian Embassy in Brussels.

It was a joint initiative from the Indonesian women’s entrepreneur for hosting beauty workshop. Hosting beauty workshop as well as giving financial literacy in Zoetermeer, was a mutual activity in community’s activity.

BNI visited the Indonesian Pasar Malam in Purmerend to meet and spread the service and information to the Indonesian communities who reside in this area. A great initiative from the Indonesian restaurant: Putri Solo in Purmerend.

Dr. Dessy Irawati-Rutten, FERSA was invited to speak at this event alongside the other speakers from Indonesia, Belgium, Netherlands, and France. This

event was focusing on the development of Indonesian Maritime and fisheries. During this event, BNI was also being mentioned and promoted to serve the Indonesian students in France through PPI and Diaspora.

who is currently the Indonesian Ambassador in Poland.

Joining the pasar rakyat during the Indonesian Independence Day in The Hague. In line with Diaspora, Garuda, BNI, we were serving the Indonesian communities

during the day.

The fresh initiative from the Indonesian women entrepreneur and culinary to showcase the beauty and the elegance of the Kebaya and Batik was also supported by BNI in the Netherlands. Additionally, MADALOKA-Dance from Tilburg and the young talented girls from the Indonesian local dancing club in The Hague have supported the Indonesian traditional dance performances.

Mrs. R. Leny Mc Donnel owns the kebaya batik collection from the Kebaya Lence, the UK, and the venue is owned by si Des, The Javanese Restaurant in The Hague.

The roles of the Indonesian women in the Netherlands are significant; not only for their own domestic roles, but also their professional talents/creativities/and

innovative results. The Indonesian women are the SRIKANDI who give a real impact on their lives wherever they live.

Therefore, BNI-partners in the Netherlands initiated to escalate and leverage the WOMEN’S ISSUES publicly, by bringing the three forums namely: WOMEN AND BUSINESS/ECONOMY, WOMEN AND FAMILY LAW-IMMIGRATION, WOMEN AND SOCIAL COMMUNITY AND SURVIVE LIVING IN OVERSEAS.
