They have both an ultimate and relative aspect. 2 Tib: ye Shes kyi sGron ma, (ye shé kyi kha dro ma) Skt. Jana Pradipa: The word lamp (sGron ma) is commonly used in female names. One such name is Chödon (short for Chökyi Donma). This means Dharma Lamp. The meaning behind this is obvious: The teachings of the Buddha (Dharma) is like a lamp (pradipa) that dispels the darkness of ignorance. However, there are many instances where the name of Achi Chödon is, most uncommonly written as Achi Chödol in Tibetan, and therefore, Dharma Tara/Tare, in Sanskrit. 3 Tib. srid pa gSum (sï pa sum):
