What is Accessibility?

For Cisco Networking Academy, accessibility meansproviding access to our curricula for people with disabilities

Address the needs of students with visual, physical,cognitive, and auditory limitations, such as:

Visual blind, low vision, color blindness

Hearing and speech deaf, hard of hearing, mute

Physical mobility and dexterity impairment

The accessible CCNA curricula conform with exceptions toU.S. and international guidelines including:

Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (U.S.)

Americans with Disabilities Act (U.S.)

W3C- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (Global)

* Most countries have employment, design and manufacture, and procurement laws similar to ADAand Section 508 - we highlighted these laws as they are the most typical and stringent

Users must select Accessible in their AcademyConnection profile to view assessments in accessibleformat

Also sets online curricula view to accessible format by default

The accessible CCNA curricula are available on theCourse Materials page

Viewable online from the existing launch page users can select eitherthe standard (default) or the accessible version of the course

Instructor materials in accessible format are availableon the Tools Page for each course
