Present Standard State diagram for the DCS
Due to the increasing number of integrated sub-systems in the ALICE DCS, in order to allow a complete integration the present sub-detector DCS state diagram may change.

Need Of LVDB
• Without LV Distribution, if the LV trips all 6 chains on the module consisting 4608 cells will be off.
• LV segmentation will help in isolating the faulty chains by tripping LV supply for the particular chain if fault persists. Also fault can be monitored remotely and can be use for data analysis.
• Prevents FEE boards from going bad due to excess current drawn by the chips due to HV sparks.
General description of LVDB
• LVDB helps us in actively distributing the LV-supply among the FEE board chains (12 FEE Boards per chain).
• It also controls the over-current in a chain which may be caused by HV spikes or board going bad. Current limit can be adjust for the different no of FEE boards in a chain.
• One board can supply 6 chains and also through DCS, chains can be monitored and we can have off time of chain in database.

Remaining work
• LV no work done till now
• FSM’s need to be finalized
• Configuration dB
• Testing and finalization of LVDB
• Use of ALICE GUI
