TRUMAN’S ACADEMY was created in response to requests from salons, barbershops and individual artists for help in developing their barbering and men’s stylist specialties. The demand for high quality men’s grooming services is here to stay. Salons are looking to build their knowledge of and skill in men’s grooming, and barbers who want to build their business need to have skills that go beyond the classic fade. Even the best beauty schools treat men’s training as an afterthought, and the barbering programs out there do nothing more than to prepare one for the state board certification. So based on Truman’s own intensive internal training program, we have developed a customizable offering that begins with three seminars.

Opened in 2006, Truman’s ‘Gentlemen’s Groomer’s is an award winning men’s grooming company in NYC with two lounges, a men’s product line and in house training program. Over the past twelve years we have trained hundreds of barbers & stylists in the art of luxury men’s grooming. Join us for one of our in house classes or contact us to customize an on-site class for your salon.

Truman’s Academy Classes are offered by type and length. They range from demonstrations & seminars, to multiple day hands-on training with Truman’s instructors and live models. Classes are always limited in size and can be customized for groups or salons.

Private Academy Classes are available for Salons and Small groups. Private classes can be completely customized to meet the need of your team. Academy Classes can be held in either Truman’s Salons or at your own barbershop or Salon. Prices vary depending on number of instructors and length of classes.
