No other school district in New York State has won this award for over 20 years. Five-year winner of Best Communities for Music Education Award from the NAMM Foundation Five-year winner of Utica National Safety Award (titanium level, the highest distinction) Winner of Cenergistic Award for Energy Stewardship A record six students named National Merit Scholar Finalists in 2016. In the 2016-17 school year, 16 out of 18 varsity athletic teams were NYS Public High School Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete Teams, earning the district the Scholar Athlete Team School of Excellence Award. Spackenkill boasts five consecutive section championships for the girls tennis and soccer teams. School Resource Officer is specially trained to respond to safety needs of the Spackenkill district. More than 50% of certified staff have been with the Spackenkill district for 10 to 19 years.
