AIS Math Selection Process
• New Students –
All Out of State Students: Screened, and receive services, if needed
Other NYS Districts: If student received math services, they will continue or
they can be recommended through an SST

How often and where will my child be attending AIS Math classes?
• Depending on your child’s schedule they may meet during encore every other day or during DEAR 3-5 times a week

What can I do, at home, to help my child succeed in math?
• Memorize Math Facts
Addition/Subtraction
Multiplication/Division
• Insist on Neat, Organized Work
• Encourage them to bring questions to class
• Attend the “Think Tank” program before or after school
• Make sure all homework is complete
