MINDREVOLUTIONS
WE CONSTATNTLY EVOLVE.Our minds travel in an incredible speed, with an enourmous amount of in-formation that comes to us every day. Communication today is the num-ber one task in everyone’s day. Posts, notifications, tweets and e-mails are the first in our to-do list, everyday, and it is getting bigger and bigger
We have never been so Global! The world is at our fingertips, every day, in the social medias, sharing opinions, feelings and frus-trations, with “friends” in the virtual world.
Have we ever been so alone? Have we all noticed how lonely we became, like mere observers of facts? The future is uncertain, with all these tools to make us communicate better, we go to work, we use the subway, we drive, we ride, with our eyes and minds in our phones, and tablets, looking down, to our own world, a cyber bubble .
Should we look at the sky and check the weather? No there is an app for that. Flirt-ing, is obsolete, nobody looks at the cute guy that just passed by, we became invisible to the naked eye.
Here is an example: Take public transpor-tation in Florida is a large task, you have to be prepared with schedules, passes, proper change, a whole new routine. Learn your surroundings, and bus stops, stations, ter-minals, but the major experience is to man-age the people. It feels like, we are so differ-ent all together, getting used to real people around you, and sometimes really close is difficult, if feels like your personal space is being invaded, and you will never be the same person again. Amazing!
Human behavior has changed so dramati-cally in the past few years that we don’t rec-ognize our own.
The Internet is a great invention but it is for sure changing everything, in-cluding us.
Imagine! One of the most famous songs Garota de Ipanema, today, would never be written, for the simple fact nobody would be there to see her pass by.
We must adapt but also improvise be-fore it is too late, one the main facts about this global loneliness is the low levels of tolerance among people. We must care, we must look at the sky, feel the wind in our faces, smell the ocean, look in the eye, hug and most of all learn to fall in love with being human.
One more time, give people a chance.
Laiz Rodrigues, Happy 2015!

18BUCKMINSTER FULLER FLY'S EYE DOME, 1979/80-2014
In 1965 Buckminster Fuller de-signed and patented the Fly’s Eye Dome, which he called an “auton-omous dwelling machine” Proto-types began to be built by hand in 1977 and by 1983; three of the fiberglass spheres in various siz-es (12-foot, 24-foot, 50-foot) had been produced. Fuller died before he was able to realize his vision for the structure.
However, almost 50 years later, the design, a Monohex variation of the geodesic dome, can clearly be seen as a forerunner of today’s green building movement. In 2011, col-lector Craig Robins acquired the 24-foot prototype with the inten-tion of exhibiting it and using it as inspiration for a key element of the Miami Design District.
The following year, The Buckmin-ster Fuller Institute, in partnership with Goetz Composites, Con-formLab and DRDesign, began the development of a program to complete Fuller’s vision, using ad-vanced technologies and materials not available to Fuller in the 1970’s. BFI was then commissioned to produce a Fly’s Eye Dome utilizing state-of-the-art materials, intelli-gence and techniques, to be prom-inently incorporated in the Miami Design District.

Buckminster Fuller BOLHA OLHO DE MOSCA 1979 / 80-2014

One of todays most forward thinking international architects, Sou Fujimoto is known for delicate, light structures and permeable enclosures. Inspired by organic eco-systems, such as forests, nests and caves, Fujimoto's signature creations exhibit a vibrant interplay be-tween nature and architecture, blend-ing the internal and external.
The building’s façade is one of the cor-nerstones of the pedestrian-centric area and is inspired by the flowing movement of waterfalls and Miami’s tempestuous rainsqualls. The two-story structure fea-tures an elongated series of glass fins extending from the rooftop down to the open courtyard creating a dynamic visu-al spectacle and alluding to the preva-lent aquatic nature of the city.
SOU FUJIMOTO: FACHADA DO PRÉDIO.

24 The Wynwood Arts District
If you are in Miami, visit The Peter Tun-ney Experience. Legendary artist Peter Tunney’s beautiful art gallery and studio in the middle of the Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood. A district of abandoned warehouses that was a symbol of post-in-dustrial blight,
Wynwood is now different and it is going through a major change, becoming a des-tination for thousands that would like to see world-class street art and graffiti. Pe-ter Tunney’s studio is inside
The Wynwood Walls, was created in 2009 and by inviting many international names in street art, to show their work in spec-
tacular murals created this colorful and magical place. Restau-rants, galleries, and artists studios soon followed and the neighborhood boomed, all without losing either its already vi-brant community or its edge.
Inside the studio, Tunney’s large-scale paintings are comprised of mixed-media collage that mines the cultural soup for images, headlines, and ephemera, and proclaim to the viewer messages includ-ing, Don’t Panic,” “Remain Calm,” “The Time is Always Now,” “Grattitude” [sic]. This year, for Art Basel, the work spills off the canvas and on to all manner of “found” objects, including airplane wings, car hoods, and salvaged appliances and furniture, turning trash into treasure.

PLAYING WITH SHAPES-PIERRE POULIN
Every December, Miami Beach opens its doors to Art Basel, a celebration of Art in the South of Florida, that brings the world to see and share all the beautiful work pre-sented. This year, the event brought 73.000 visitors from the world to Miami Beach, with artists, collectors, gallerists, curators and art enthusiasts that bring their creativi-ty and generates the excitement around the event a remarkable way to meet Art.
Celebrating Art and Fashion we visited the Miami Art District for a Louis Vuitton vernissage Pierre Paulin and Herman Miller: Playing with Shapes, where Louis Vuitton unveiled a 1972 unseen project by Pierre Paulin and Herman Miller: 18 never realised furniture pieces manufactured in occasion
of Design Miami 2014 as a satellite show. The project, which the French furniture designer and American furniture manufac-turer conceived in 1972, was presented in a satellite exhibition for the Miami Design District and displayed fromDecember 2-7.
The setting was composed by pieces never seen, built in the occasion of Art Basel Miami 2014. Innovation of course was not even a question, but the level of perfection in por-trait something so harmonic and futuristic at the same time considering the idea was conceived in 1972. We hope you enjoy like we did, to see such beautiful work, a craft, art and devotion to innovation in every piece, for sure an amazing experience.

Azul Brazilian Airlines landed at Or-lando International Airport amidst a traditional water salute from Orlan-do International Airport Rescue Fire Fighters (ARFF) this afternoon. This marks the second U.S. destination for Azul from Brazil. The other U.S. destination is Ft. Lau-derdale. Azul, Brazil’s third largest airline, starts daily non-stop service to Sao Paulo/Campinas International Airport.
This new service is estimated to bring in $233 million in annual economic impact to the Central Florida region.
Azul CEO and founder David Neele-man, who also founded jetBlue Air-ways, describes Azul’s expansion into Orlando as a good business practice because, “It’s exactly what the cus-tomers want because Orlando is the number one international destina-tion for Brazilians.”
Jim Rose, Deputy Executive Director of the Greater Orlando Aviation Au-thority echoed Neeleman’s remarks saying, “Azul’s arrival in Orlando is good news for local business and leisure travelers throughout Central Florida.”

Ben Marzouk graduated as an engineer from the State Technical School and the School of Fine Arts in Brussels. His art went through various schools of techniques and influences but has always been colorful combined with a figurative tone. He moved to Brazil a few years ago (since 1975) where he discovered his own style of abstract expressionism. The vibrant colors of the Mediterranean are re-flected in his work and he became known for his figurative abstract style. Today, ethereal and magical figures transgress his works.
His works which are distinguished by the fineness and quality of execution
Marzouk had attended the festival success-fully in 2004 and 2005 Festival International
Des Arts Plastiques de Mahares (FIAP)
Had attended the 26th and the 27th session of the festival
This year Ben Marzouk made an individual exhibition at Sidi Bou Said Gallery in TUNI-SIA
His abstract works had a great impact with the press and the public in particular
The originality and combinations of color that enriches his work. To create this effect, he uses fragmentation in his works, com-bining the feeling of freedom of movement as well as the figures of birds which express the sentiment of change. Ben Marzouk’s process is a long process of creation. After a long period of time of spent in contempla-tion and of gathering information, he then turns to sketching and finally to canvas.

Caixote, Duofel, Al Jarreau, Mary Wilson(The Supremes), John Secada, Abraham Laboriel (USA), Notenstock (France) - Sadao Watanabe (Japão). The Jamming Caribbean Group (Mo-naco) – Patty Ascher (Las Vegas), The Samba Funk Company (Monaco), New York SoulJazz Band (Monaco).

Vários grandes artistas observaram meu potencial e começaram a me chamar.

The Louis Vuitton Escale Worldtime watch takes the brand’s reputation for stylish travel and brings you a bright
hand-painted timepiece for an increasingly global world. The watch employs a totally new case made from satin finished white gold and features corner pieces that gives a nod to classic Louis Vuitton trunks. Most appealing though is its vibrant dial. Painted color by color with a paint brush, the bold face takes a craftsman over 50 hours to complete. Offering a new perspective on global time through manipulating the position of its contrasting abbre-viations and colored symbols, the Louis Vuitton Escale Worldtime is an original design for the world traveler.

David Yurman, America’s premier fine jewelry and timepiece designer, will unveil its second New York City retail location in the heart of Soho today.
Conceived by The Yurmans in partner-ship with the company’s in-house de-sign team, the 2,000-square-foot store is an expression of their approach to casual luxury, appreciation of craft and legacy as artists in Soho’s 1970s community. The boutique is located in the Soho-Cast Iron Historic District in a late nineteenth-century loft build-ing known for its Richard Haas trompe l’oeil mural. The classical lines of the cast-iron facade beautifully frame the sculpted forms of David Yurman’s col-lections.
“I cut my teeth as a sculptor and an artist in this neighborhood – it truly is home for Sybil and me. What was the epicenter of gallery culture in New York has since evolved into a vibrant, international destination. We’re thrilled to be a part of this communi-ty’s past, present and future,” says De-signer and CEO David Yurman.
Located blocks away from the compa-ny’s headquarters, the store will house two bronze angels created by David, life-size versions of his evocative di-rect-welded sculptures. The space will reflect The Yurmans’ aesthetic and in-spirations with a wall of artifacts and sketches, live-edge wood surfaces, and artisanal metal finishes. Paintings by Sybil will be displayed throughout the space.
The boutique will carry David Yur-man’s classic collections, including gold and sterling silver designs for women and men; timepieces; high jewelry; and the Wedding Collection. Recently launched collections will
also be available, including the Vene-tian Quatrefoil® Collection, Hampton Cable Collection®, Cable Buckle Col-lection®, and pieces from the Petite Pave Collection, as well as the Forged Carbon, Frontier™, Meteorite, and Modern Chevron collections for men. A selection of unique pieces created exclusively for the Soho boutique will also be available.
David Yurman’s Soho boutique is lo-cated at 114 Prince Street, New York, NY 10012.

Ferragamo is pleased to announce the launch of a man’s story, a dynamic mens-wear project by photographer and film-maker francesco carrozzini under the cre-ative direction of the brand’s massimiliano giornetti that brings founder salvatore fer-ragamo’s vision and conviction into the dig-ital era.
In 1914, 16-year-old Salvatore emigrated from southern italy to boston, usa where one of his brothers was working in a boot factory. the industrialized setting was at odds with Salvatore’s vision and craftsman’s sensibility, so he convinced his brothers to follow him to california to create a made-to-measure shoemaking service. within just five years it had become a beacon of luxury for hollywood’s greatest stars, and the fer-ragamo story was born.
Salvatore Ferragamo followed his beliefs. he literally set his own rules.
To celebrate this seminal moment in the brand’s history and the man behind it, fer-ragamo launches a man’s story, an online project highlighting the notion of ‘making your own rules’. through an intimate and compelling series of stories, told by an eclectic cast of contemporary men, ferrag-amo’s luxury lifestyle collections are pre-sented in new and surprising settings.

"For a man to have a vision and the courage of his convictions is both noble and timeless, as relevant today as it was a century ago when Salvatore Ferragamo went out on a limb to launch his shoe-making business," recounts Creative Director, Massimiliano Giornetti. "Had he not have taken that risk, this brand that continues to grow and attract new generations may never have existed."
"From A$AP Rocky to Ryan McGinley what links these young men is their single-minded ap-proach to life. They've not been afraid to make their own rules, even when it's meant potential failure," says photographer Francesco Carrozzini.

Aéroports de Paris pays trib-ute to French fashion and creation withthe opening of an exceptional venue in Terminal 2E at Par-is-Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Each of the four is a majestic emblem of French creativity, expertise, and elegance. Their names are Cartier, Chanel (appearing at Aéroports de Paris for the first time), Dior, and Hermès. Now they have a brand-new prestigious lo-cation in Hall K, Terminal 2E at ParisCharles de Gaulle Air-port. After 15 months of con-struction work, a brand-new venue dedicated to French creative excellence is now open to visitors at the heart of Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub, in Hall K, Terminal 2E. It is a living environment, a place of relaxation, culture, and shopping, entirely rede-signed by Aéroports de Paris architects to offer passengers visiting France one last un-forgettable Parisian shopping experience.
"Paris is a byword for cul-ture, French know-how, and refinement. Beyond Paris, these values embody France. We wanted to create a new setting for our partner brands as well as for our passengers. Paris must become an airport destination of choice for trav-ellers," said Augustin de Ro-manet, Chairman and CEO of
Aéroports de Paris.
The design of this architec-tural suite fulfils the desire to showcase these four great Maisons. The proportions of each boutique are re-markable, and quite unlike anything previously seen at ParisCharles de Gaulle Air-port. The windows reach a towering height of nearly 6 metres, while the ceilings are more than 3.5 metres high. Such an abundance of space leaves each brand free to unfurl its own architectural theme.
The stores line a central square with an oak Hungar-ian Point parquet floor (in keeping with Parisian interi-or decor style). Leather seats are arranged in islands or laid out like small lounges, pro-viding passengers with cosy, soothing surroundings.
Reflecting on
"The passing of time"
A pair of great bronze sculp-tures by French artist Nath-alie Decoster have been in-stalled at opposite ends of the square to give more soul to the space. The artist ti-tled the pieces "Le Temps qui passe"[The Passing of Time] and "L'Air du temps" [The Spirit of the Times]. Stand-ing on their Carrara marble
plinth, they invite passengers to escape the moment and reflect on the notion of time. As Nathalie Decoster puts it, "with time, we unburden
ourselves of the unnecessary, we make the effort to really look and listen…" The task of lighting the two sculptures was undertaken in partner-ship with Ingélux, the same company that arranged the lighting of the Mona Lisa.

Successful conservation efforts and whale repro-duction cycles had to come together, coupled with near-record breaking visitor arrivals and increased daily visitor spending on Maui to make this one un-forgettable whale watching season!
Historically, humpback whale counts are con-ducted in the waters off the coast of Maui during February. The 2014 count increased considerably to 1331 whales sighted, up from 1126 whales in 2013 (+18.1%). This is great news for whale watching in Maui.
Two major factors are behind the increase. First, several successful worldwide whale conservation programs have helped increase whale populations 5-7% annually. Second, the 4-year whale breeding cycle is slated to hit its peak this year, meaning there will be more adorable calves to see as well.
These two positive aspects have come together to make Maui’s 2015 whale watching season more than just memorable, scientists are predicting it will be another recordsetter! The Humpback Whales are the “gentle giants” of the sea and encounters should be plentiful. They can be found in large pods, or groups, all throughout the Hawaiian island chain beginning in December.
Pride of Maui combines a 2 hour Maui whale watching excursion plus snorkeling, a Hawaiian style BBQ lunch and open bar, all for about $40 USD on their state of the art customized vessels, Leilani and Pride Of Maui! Whether guests prefer
to stay on board to catch some rays while observing these majestic, graceful creatures through the large viewing windows or get wet and snorkel, these vessels are customized for viewing, sunbathing and water sports - Pride of Maui has it all!
According to the Farmer’s Almanac, precipitation on Maui will be below normal (making for calm seas) and temperatures will be at or slightly above normal (inspiring beachgoers to get out on, and in, the water).

It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year… Maui Whale Watching Season!
Perfect conditions have transpired to make Winter 2014/2015 one of Maui’s best whale watching sea-sons... ever.
It’s important to note that visitor arrivals to Maui for the first half of 2014 were even with last year’s record, and there was a notable increase of +2.3% in arriv-als to Maui in September 2014 over last year. The above numbers, when combined with visitor spending on Maui up +15.1% ($204 + USD per day) for Sept. 2014, is a strong indication that Maui is shaping up for a very good 2015 in the whale watching industry!
What better situation could there possibly be to go whale watching? It’s obvious that everything is pointing to the potential for a record breaking year. Overall, it should prove to be an exceptional year for Maui’s tourism industry, but especially whale watching tours on Maui!
