Children today are not the children of yesterday. Parents are in a dilemma about child rearing and arrive in our offices in states of anxiety with kids who are wreaking havoc upon their parents, teachers, doctors and all au-thority figures. Permissiveness has be-come the guideline for parents. “No! Stop! Please and Thank you!” are be-coming extinct. Instead we have “self-esteem”, “quality time” and “ time-out”. Add to the mix the increasing number of children with special needs.
