2019 NSW Mining Exploration ForumMonday 6 May | 9.00am – 5.00pm NSW Parliament House Theatrette, Sydney

The NSW Mining Exploration Forum brings the NSW exploration sector together to discuss the regulatory and policy issues, new advances in exploration geology and case studies of successful exploration projects. The forum attracts chief executives, exploration managers, field staff and consultants, from junior exploration companies through to multinational operators.

This year’s keynote speaker is University of Queensland Adjunct Professor Dan Wood. Dan Wood’s career includes 24 years with BHP and 18 years with Newcrest Mining. Dan will be speaking on ‘The exploration discovery crisis and a solution’.

A technical panel session will cover licensing and permitting requirements for exploration, with representatives from departments including the Division of Resources and Geoscience, Forestry Corporation of NSW and Crown Lands.

A series of talks on new and innovative techniques and tools for exploration will be held post lunch, which will be followed by a series of case studies of best practice exploration.
